Just wanted to share some pics of our Port Orleans Riverside Rooms. We were 3401 and 3402...We loved it!

Before we left, I read alot on this board and everyone seemed to love the Mansions and Alligator Bayou was not desired. I absolutely LOVED A.B. and would request it again in a second. The grounds were beautiful and quiet and serene.

I second the AB section! We stayed there as well, and I fell in LOVE with it! It is so quiet and serene, and the foliage is just gorgeous! This is my new favorite resort! Walks in the AM to the food court are so peaceful! I love seeing all the squirrels and lizards as well. When can we go back??

We also preferred the A.B section. It was sooo peaceful,quiet and beautiful, the walk to the store,pools or bus was half the fun. DW and I got lost one night walking to the laundry room, we just walked, and walked and walked, it was soo beautiful!

Thanks for sharing, I never really seen AB before!! I love the looks of Alligator Bayou, and I know I would love it there! I been to POR 3 times, and every time got a mansion. I never travel with a group of five (usually solo), so each time I requested AB, I was turned down flat. Instead I been given rooms in the way, way back corner parking lot view of mansion Parterre Place, about as far from AB as you can get. I know I will never stay in AB, unless I invite a whole bunch of people with me!

In reality, I won't stay at POR anymore, since I always seem to get the same room in the back corner of Parterre Place! I guess I can only dream about AB!

Just made a reservation at POR for 2/28-3/4. My only request was for AB. I am crossing my fingers and really hoping for AB. I think my DSs would enjoy the AB over the "fancy" rooms in the mansions. I am really hoping for pixie dust here!

I stayed in that section my last trip-it's great being so close to the bus stop.
