I do not get it, you post an iphone on CL and list everything, and I mean everything, 4 days old, brand new, in box..and people STILL email the most re~don~clious questions ever!! can they just NOT read the ad?? Every question asked was IN the ad! Wow..guess you get what you paid for! FREE...

if it was not for the fact that selling 1 iphone is going to buy me 2 news ones..I would just skip it!

well, if it was a tech question, that is one thing. This is stuff like, how old is it.
It was posted as BRAND NEW 4 DAYS OLD, I have papers! stupid stuff like that

Due to the high rate of electronics/tech product scams from overseas posters, a lot of folks will also ask basic questions and then see if they come back in idiomatic English, or very formal, almost like it's been run through a translator, English.

I figure answering questions on CL and eBay to a certain extent are part of the cost of doing business in those venues.

I would expect most peopl to just wait for the iPhone 4 to come out in two weeks and get the contract pricing (which i am assuming you are doing).

Questions i would ask you..

Whats the firmware version and whats the baseband verion? Nothing else matters

because the brand new iphone I have is worth 600 thru att and I sold it for less, and for 199 I get my two phones! easy! I do this all the time.

and as for the other post, well, IF the people asking the questions spoke english or could even write in english it would be a much easier situation. that is the problem, they just do not read, and then they re-ask the questions, to which I originally posted to begin with!

ie:i can't make it there tonight, but tomorrow is problem for me. how is the condition of the phone? do i need to jailbreak for it to work with t-mobile?

ok, i never use this kind of phone before that's why i don't know much about it. so i need to jailbreak it first before i can use with tmobile right? and can you tell me what is come with it? what time is best time for me to come see the phone?


I just think this type of repeated stuff is just that, a waste of my time! and most of the stupid stuff got bounced back to the person..

and yes, the above is the type of questions I do not mind answering instead of doing "jailbreaking" I posted it was NOT and I do not know anything about it, but yet they STILL ask! But then again, I cannot say their names.

OMG!! that is way to funny, but also exactly how I feel!! It is a new phone with yada yada yada...

Thanks for that!! I guess I am not the only one that feels like people THINK they are rocket scientist!! and that cannot take an ad at face value

actually I want to answer this right.
well, I am an AT&T costumer, and have been for several years. while yes, all of use ATT people can upgrade this phone, which is what I am doing. I have three lines and I am getting 1 new one for DD.

My brand new iphone retails at $600 dollars so if you did not have ATT and wanted to jailbreak my phone, then that is what you would have to pay going into the store to buy one.
SOOO there are huge amounts of people out there looking for bargains to by iphones, and I am selling mine under the price to which it is worth!

so that ables me to get the two new phones I want, then the person buying can do one of two things, jailbreak the phone for their own use with another carrier, or if an ATT customer who does NOT want the new iphone, and who cannot upgrade or has a damaged phone that apple will not replace, then they will buy mine to replace theirs!

see...simple!

this is how I get all the latest cell phone upgrades and do not have to waste my phone, I just roll it!
