Some one please tell me what HIA is!?!?

Yep I don't have a clue...I see in on many different postings...I know it has something to do with scrapping....

Actually, HIA is the industry trade show for crafts. Well one of them. You will see alot of discussion about ACCI in the summer...it is held in Chicago (suburbs) in July.

It used to be everything you need for crafts...fabrics, yarns, beads, paints...you name it...it is there. Last year, they opened a second section for scrapbooking. It used to be mixed in with all the others..but now has it's own wing. This may be why they moved from Anaheim...though it may have rotaed occasionaly. Can you imagine? Scrapbooking and DISNEYLAND!!! Be still my heart.

Anyway...this is one of the times of the year when all the vendors release all the new products. They may not hit the stores until much later...but we can hope!

Thanks Patti! I knew it had some meaning just couldn't figure it out! I knew it was some type of trade show. Just not sure what the letters stood for!
I don't know about Disney and scrapping in the same place...Might make my head spin too much!

Thanks Spinning for asking that question. I knew it was trade show also , but never knew where or what it stood for. Hey Patti , are the only people allowed in store owners ?

Store owners can bring guests, but they are very tight in who gets in.

It is easier to attend ACCI. If you own a business or some sort, you can probably get in. They are more open to home based businesses...or at least, they were.

Now..I "Believe" Memory Trends, which is the "Scrapbook Industry Trade Show", and is usually in Las Vegas, around October, has a retail show as well. I know they are pretty easy to attend, as I have a friend who has a small on-line store that goes to that one.
