Christmas

Nothing new at WDS for Christmas, that's for next year

Castle Lighting will similar to last year

It's a small world celebration will be back too

Jingle Bell Boys will come back to Videopolis as well as other bands throughout the lands.

Sandy claus meet 'n' greets outside phantom manor!

Santa Clause will also be part of Disney magic on Parade. Magic Everywhere song will be christmasfied

Gingerbread men characters from the States are coming to DLP!

Winnie the pooh in christmas outfit meet n greets

Tree Lighting will be 360° experience around the tree to allow better viewing for everyone

duffy will get a christmas outfit too

All new music for the tree lighting written for this show

New christmas tree will have a lot more decorations and special lighting effects
Nightmare before christmas photo location will get the fountain from the movie

and much more

Space mission 2 seats being made more comfortable,

tram tours getting a new tram to reduce wait times and/or increase capacity.

Armageddon to be replaced.....perhaps marvel theme ride ?

Blockbuster cafe to replace high school musical theming.

Big thunder mountain getting new safety feature which will reduce start/stop times.

Indiana jones ride to be levelled and rebuilt with real stone

3rd park after 2020

Main street facades redone and improved

Lots and lots to take in......sure theres even more !

I was following this today and it's so good to hear that so much work is planned, and not small stuff either!.. It'd be really good if they made indiana jones a bit bigger imo, it's such a small coaster.

Finally - Space mountain seats!

Also, intriguing news regarding the crushes coaster entrance being re-done... I'm wondering if this is to enable a possible fastpass option in the future?... (as it failed before, twice).

Lots of worked planned in the parks and the hotels.

I doubt it would have as there is a lot of things planned which couldn't have been agreed so quickly. Good things are happening

This is very exciting news, all the more so after being led to believe that there would be no investment in the foreseeable future. Loads of good ideas there.

I'm looking forward to seeing Minnie's couture workshop at Christmas and the new, 360 degree view tree will be brilliant as it always gets so crowded.

Lovely to see work planned in the hotels too.

Amongst the longer term improvements the new tram train is much needed although I would have liked to have seen more interest there along the route between the two main sets.

Very excited about all this!

This can surely only produce some good against all the negative publicity crude that gets spread, usually by those that claim to love the parks but are intent on knocking it.
I'm liking that there is so much love and energy to be pumped back, though I'm sure the normal bashers will be out in force that this still isn't enough :-/ I'm very pleased with these announcements but slightly worried about the Cheyenne as even though it's tired, I love it. Hope its just made new and shiny and not tied into anything Lots total about in the podcast this week!! Looking forward discussing this :-D

Where did the info for a 3rd park come from? Had a read of the blog on magicforum and couldn't find any mention on a 3rd park at some point.

Well it was me who posted that earlier in the thread and now I can't find my "source" lol I absolutely definitely read it though. Will have another google and find where I saw it, it wasn't on magicforum though but another site...... maybe dedicatetodlp as I was on their site quite a bit last 2 days.

I saw mention of a 3rd park too, though I think it was a quick comment rather than an announced discussion point. A 3rd park has been on the horizon for years, but that horizon is a long long way off.

3rd park has always been part of the master plan with French government I think. Originally the agreement was they must build it before 2015 but I think that was renegotiated to "not before 2020" now. As far as I'm aware this isnt news as was already known a year or two ago.

IMO they need to sort out the 2nd park before starting a 3rd.... :/
