Some MYW Ticket Questions

1) In order to upgrade (or, more techinically, use the dollar value from) old park hoppers to get new MYW tickets, does everyone whose ticket is being upgraded need to show up at guest services, or can I just go and do it for 4 people?

2) Suppose a child has a never expire age 3-9 MYW ticket that has plus features on it. If the ticket is used to get into a park while the child is still age 3-9, but then the child turns 10 while the ticket still has unused days on it, I understand that it will be converted into an adult ticket. Here's the question -- will all the plusses remain intact? In other words, even if the child never used one of the plusses -- only used the park days -- will the pass still upconvert to an adult pass with exactly what was left on the child ticket?

Thanks very much.

Watch your terminology. If those park hoppers are completely unused, you can upgrade. (Apply the FULL VALUE you paid to the ticket for new admission) If they're partially used, you would actually just be getting the dollar value. Sometimes the cast members can get sticky with the wording, and will just tell you you can't upgrade the ticket.

In any event, you can take care of this yourself for 4 tickets.

Also to bear in mind - if you're going to be getting new Magic Your Way tickets (as opposed to Annual Passes), your used options will have to match. So, if you have a 5 day park hopper plus, let's say you did visit two different parks on the same day, and also visited a water park. Your new ticket would have to have 5 or more days, the park hopping option, the water parks and more option, AND the non-expiration option. Does that make sense?

You don't have to convert it to an adult ticket. You can if you'd like, or if the child wants to feel grown up, but it isn't necessary.

But if you DO choose to convert it to an adult ticket, the only thing that will change is that it's for an adult. It will have exactly what the child's ticket had on it.

Yup -- perfect sense. They are entirely unused hoppers without plus features, so I think I have good flexibility with them.

Thanks very much.
