I'm just trying to sort out what to expect with our budget, so just need to know if I'm missing something out!

Wishes Music Piped-In - $800 (no tax/tip?)
Food Budget Minimum - $500; I like the look of 'A Kiss Goodnight' which would be around $721 for 14 guests with tax&tip
Set-Up Fee - $75 (does this include the actual tables, chairs and white tablecloths? or must we also pay to rent those as well as set-up?)
Light-Up Cylinders with Confetti - $12ea

Is that it? Is it worth getting chair covers also and would they be the same price as normal rental?

I can't think of anything else :surfweb:

And just in case anyone happens to know - how much is a 2-tier Castle Cake? I figure now 3-tiers would be a waste on 14 people!! Or maybe I could even get a 'fake' bottom layer? Do they even do that?

I was only quoted $500 for the music. I wasn't quoted a set up fee. I did have a $50 small party fee though. You don't have to have the menu's as they stand you can pick whichever items you want and then they'll tell you how much that is per person.

I just got an email from my planner that said Sago Cay had a min of $1000......that may be just a reception price, and not for only a dessert party, but I would double check!

My contract also said $1000 minimum (for Dessert Party) and $500 to pipe in the music if you have less than 50 people.

We didn't use chair covers. They're ugly green chairs, but seriously NO ONE notices. You're there only a little bit of time before the fireworks start. That time was spent mingling and eating. Then, everyone stood for the best view of the fireworks. Only those with mobility issues sat down for any length of time.

I was told $500 for food. Maybe it is going up next year?

That could definitely be it! To make things more clear from what I was told: I was asking specifically to hold my reception and dessert party BOTH at Sago Cay, which may indicate the higher minimum, since we will be there for a little over 3 hours if we use this option.

Maybe it is a 2010 price. But we are definitely just doing our DP there...no reception. $1000 f&b min and $500 for music. The way I look at it, I will be saving money on transportation. It ends up working out to be just as much as an EPCOT dessert party.

Thank you for the info! $1000 for 14 people for a dessert party will be a LOT of food! I guess I could do a few drinks BOC too? or put in some champagne or Bucks Fizz?!

I'm glad the music is only $500 though - so I guess that only makes it $400 or so more expensive than I'd expected! I want to sign our contract already so prices don't go up!!

With an Escape Wedding you can only book Sago Cay 6 months before.

I'm skipping the music to save money.

$1000 for 14 is going to be a ton of food!

Oh I'm not doing Escape, I'm doing Wishes - waiting until December to sign our contract, but we'll be booking our locations next month :)

I think the music is the best part of Wishes so I definitely have to have that! The $1000 for food is the bit I'm having a hard time with! After dinner too it will be a LOT of food! We may just do desserts and a 1hr bar or something like that...

I thought you were having Escape, too many brides :scared:

I would like the music but it is a lot of money so I'll live without it.
