Some members of party use dining credits?

So we have used the dining plan before and I am somewhat familiar with how it works. I have a question about doing something I haven't before....It will just be me and my 15 year old son on the Deluxe Dining Plan. On the last day of our plan we will only have 2 credits left, but I wanted to eat at Brown Derby which is signature. Instead of having to rework all of our dining plans can I use the credits for the appetizer, meal, dessert, and drink for my meal and then pay out of pocket for his meal? I just didn't know if that would work since he is a child and wouldn't be able to "pay' the bill himself if the server has to ring separate tickets. Thank you.
