Ok so as you can see we leave for our trip in 8.....YES 8! Days!! :cool1: Anyways I have a few questions for the wealth of knowledge that is on this forum, and you have all been awesome thus far!

1. I called and put in a "request" for our DLH tower that we would like, my question is I called the Costco number on my reservations, should I also call the DLH directly and make a request? I asked for an DTD View in the Adventure Tower (we have prem. view booked).

2. I know I will read up and find it but where is the FP station for RSR in DCA? And someone enlighten me on the FP "limit" you can hold at a given time....

3. Can you bring backpacks on rides that are "Any Height"? My reason is I really don't want to leave my bag with camera equip in it if possible.....

That is pretty much it for now....again you have all been awesome! I will be posting a TR and Live Updates on our Blog @ http://saxtonfamily.weebly.com/ if anyone wants to keep looking! We are driving from Oregon to Disney! :moped:

How exciting for an upcoming trip! Some answers....you can't leave a backpack unattended. It goes on any ride you go on. ..no restrictions on this. I carry a backpack loaded with water, sunblock, sweatshirts...ect. and it goes with me on all rides with no problems. The one tip on that is that there are lockers by the Grizzly water ride that you can use for free while you ride in case you have something you don't want to get wet. Some rides like Space and Screaming have a tight fit for a backpack buts it's managable..others are easy like Pirates or Indy with its little bag hooks. Enjoy your trip!

For the FP limit, it's typically 1 FP per ticket for a set time-frame. Some rides are disconnected like RSR (you can get a FP for that, and immediately get a FP for like ToT), but most of the rides you can't.

For simplicity sake, everything you need to know is stated on the FP ticket. Say you get a FP for Indiana Jones early in the morning. On the ticket, it'll say the time you can use that FP, and it'll say the time when you can get another FP.

For example:

For RSR:

Notice how there is no time-range for RSR, so you can get a FP for another ride right away.

RSR FastPass is now connected so you can have a FP for that and then get another one in 2 hours. DL and CA are not connected to each other so you can have a FP in each park. WOC is the only attraction that is not connected.

I bring a bag on every ride. For ones that have a shoulder harness I slip my leg through the strap and keep it down by my feet.

I do the same thing. Shoulder harness slipped through my leg and held between my legs/feet.

I almost always have a backpack with me and take it on everything. For water rides (SM and GRR) I either pack little baggies for cell phones, etc. or ask a shop for a bag large enough that my bag will fit into.

As far as FPs, theoretically you could be holding a minimum of 3 at any given time as DL and DCA are not connected to each other nor is the WOC FP. So you could have one for Indy, one for Soarin, and one for WOC. You are able to get a new one every 2 hours or a the usable time of your current pass (so if it's 9am and your FP is for 10:15am you can get another at 10:15am, but if it's 9am and your FP is for 12:00pm, you can get another one at 11:00am). The other part to note is that occasionally there seem to be other FP stations that are not connected. The most common are Roger Rabbit and Screamin with BTMRR being an occasional as well.

The most recent reports (start of the summer season) indicated that all rides within a given park were now connected (i.e., no more disconnected attractions). WoC remains "disconnected" from the rest of DCA (I think it's because that's for an evening/night show rather than a ride).

As others have said, you can actually have multiple FPs, but it all depends on the timing. You can collect another FP when the time window for a current FP opens or two hours later, whichever comes first. It is possible to hold multiple FPs at the same time (as described by Briarrose1306). It just depends on when the return times are.

The RSR FP station is located near the entrance to It's a Bug's Life Land. When you enter DCA, head down the main walkway towards Carsland. The RSR distribution location is on the left side (heading towards Carsland). As long as you stay towards the left side the walkway, you should find it fairly easy. If you reach Carsland, you've gone to far. On the image below, ignore the blue line because they no longer allow guest to queue up before the park opens for RSR FPs, but you can see where the distribution location is relative to the entrance.

It is also worth noting that DLR is enforcing FP return times. So, you must return within the one hour time window printed on your attraction FP. There may be a grace period, but it is not required and it is not consistent, so I would not count on being able to use a FP late (or early).

As others have said, you can take backpacks with you on the attractions. There are lockers for rent if you don't want to take it on some rides (daily rental fee). I think, Grizzly River Run is the only attraction with lockers immediately nearby that can be rented on an hourly basis (those are basically to keep your stuff dry while you ride GRR).

Good to know, thanks!

With it being connected now, how are the wait-times for the FP line? Still a crowd every morning, and gone before noon?
