I just started listening to the DIS unplugged podcasts and I'm assuming that there are a lot of people who don't listen and may not get information shared there, so I thought I would share.
On one of the most recent episodes, Pete adressed the board slowness issues. He said that they are switching hosting companies because their current host "dropped the ball" in a number of areas.
He said the switch should be happening in the next 4 to 6 weeks.
I was really glad to finally get some concrete information, but I still think that doing it in the podcast is not the best way to communicate to all of us loyal long-time DIS members.
IMO, the right thing to do would be to add a message somewhere that explained that they were aware of the issues and working on a plan to resolve them. This could be a sticky thread on this forum or every forum, or maybe just a banner message above or below where the ads show up. This would have gone a long way towards relieving the frustration we've all been feeling for weeks, not really knowing what was going on.
