Some Info on MS Computer Upgrade from October

Well, this is an important change...

I just got off of the phone with MS and they told me some info about the computer upgrade that happened last October. One of the changes was that the computer won't allow one to modify an existing vacation in order to shave and/or add vacation days. It will cancel the reservation and try to rebook. If this is common knowledge, I apologize.

This is interesting. We were able to add on a day for our Christmas reservation this spring. The CM was wonderful about connecting it to our existing reservation.

We also added a night on to the beginning of a May reservation at GCV in March.

I wonder if the computer system just now is being affected or if your CM was less than informed. If you need to add a day, you might try to call back and get someone else.

I am not negating what your CM told you; it just seems fishy to me since I've added days twice. And since my reservation at Christmas is Standard View at Boardwalk (on Christmas Day), I can't imagine it actually canceled and rebooked us - we would have lost the reservation for sure!

These seems wrong. I've been able to add or drop days from a vacation I've been planning since January 2011. Maybe call back and ask another CM?

We dropped a few days off our SSR GV Thanksgiving 2010 reservation. I'm sure if they cancelled and rebooked I would have lost the GV at 30 days out.

Please let us know what happens when you call back. I want to drop the first day of our December vacation (due to airfare prices), but absolutely do NOT want to lose the entire reservation to do so.

I think I will send my request via email and specify that I do not want to lose the rest of the reservation. I've been waiting until things settle down to take care of it and it looks like I need to wait longer. There have been so many problems lately and it seems as though there are still quite a few CMs that aren't fully trained on how to do things. It's worrisome.
