Some GV questions

Our family has never booked a GV but we are thinking ahead so we have a few questions that some people may be able to answer for us. If we are booking from a Tuesday to a Sunday and my wife and I arrive on Tuesday but the children and their families don't arrive until Wednesday, do we check in for everybody on Tuesday or do they have to check in separately on Wednesday? When I book this with member services do they allow you to add names to the reservation for the days the children and their families arrive or do I just have to book everyone on the initial day. Any info will help us plan ahead. Thanks in advance.

You can check in for the whole group as long as you are all in the same unit. The names of all guests staying in that unit must be given to MS when you book, or added later as you know them. I guess I'm uncertain why you would pay for a GV one night with only 2 people in it. If it was me, I would save the points on that night and move to the GV the day everyone arrives. Since you will be staying two very expensive weekend nights, why not save some points on the front end?
