So with all the free time I seem to increasingly have, and my love for the HMH, I started thinking; hmph, I wonder what are some of the differences between the DL and WDW HM? I've never been to WDW, so it was pretty enticing.

So I googled and found this really nice collection of facts from not only the DL and WDW HM's, but also Tokyo DL's and Phantom Manor at DL Paris! It's amazing how many differences can take hold in a ride

Right? I find ALL of it interesting... Reading this article makes me want to go to ALL the Parks, JUST to experience all the HM's .

I'm really interested in the DL Paris Phantom Manor... I like how there's a solid plot that is orchestrated throughout the entire ride. So spooky-ooky

Maybe when/if I'm traveling through Europe and feel like splurging I'll check out Disneyland Paris for a day.. just for Haunted Mansion/Phantom Manor

The Escher scene is absolutely amazing. It's very large, too. We rode it last year in October after it re-opened and were dutifully impressed. The ghostly footprints that appear and disappear, moving up and down the various sets of stairs are an impressive effect.

I feel the same way!! I can't wait to go to DLP now!! We were thinking of squeezing one more DL trip in this next year in september but now I think I can skip it to save for DLP That phantom manor sounds really neat. I love the fact that there is a story throughout!

I get to the Haunted Mansion at WDW several times each year but won't be back at DL until next August (it's been decades...) I did have the opportunity to go to DL in Paris this year and the mansion there is my favorite by far. It is very scary compared to WDW and might actually frighten younger kids quite a bit.
