Some Examples of Canadian FE Gifts?

Hi Everyone, I have started the planning process for our FE Exchange for our first cruise in January 2016. Does anyone have any examples of FE gifts that represent Canada? I understand that a lot of people like to make the gifts more personal by including something that represents where they are from.

Any thoughts/ideas are much appreciated!

Thank You!

It wasn't our main gift but we included coffee crisp and ketchup chips in ours

To add a Canadian slant, we did small ice wine bottles for the adults once and are doing small maple syrup bottles our next time out.

I'm putting a Canadian 'slant' on our FE gifts that we hand out for our upcoming September cruise. Included will be Coffee Crisp, Smarties, Aero, and Ketchup Chips (Old Dutch! I hope)

Has anyone ever included something that has the Canadian Flag on it?

We bought some bottle openers in the shape of a moose from the dollar store. You would use the moose's antlers as the opener.
Everyone loved them. It was Canadian and useful!

FE exchanges are so much fun. It is great to get back to the room and see what loot you get. the kids (and me too) loved it!

Have a great cruise

There are quite a few "Canadian" items at the dollar store...Keychains, small flags, pencils, etc. Just wander around a couple to get some ideas.

Each person got a snack size Coffee Crisp, small box of Smarties and an individually wrapped maple candy. Each cabin got a deck of Canada flag playing cards, a bookmark with the O Canada lyrics, a Canadian themed magnet, and possibily a maple leaf pen or carabiner clip (depending on number of people in the stateroom). Canada items were all from the dollar store. We also made cruise specific magnets via Vistaprint.

Disclaimers: Our cruise included Canada Day and we delivered these items the night before. Also, we were two families travelling together but opted to gift the items from the group of us.

We also brought some small maple syrup bottles ... however effective Sept 30th DCL has changed their alcohol policy which has affected one of our FE members who had already packaged small little bottles as part of her FE gifts - she had to take them all out ... we will likely ship all our FE gifts down to the cruise ship ahead of time also so as not to take up valuable luggage space ...

We were as well going to ship down our FE "stuff" in advance but looking at the cost and the cost of an additional bag through the airline, it was cheaper to pay for an additional suitcase down that we will likely use for "stuff" received on the way back and if there is any remaining space, I'm sure other purchases  will fill up the extra space/weight allowance.

:earboy2:We will be driving down so space is not as big of an issue for us. I have some fabulous ideas but don't want to spill in case anyone is on the same cruise

This sounds very much like the FE gift we are planning on giving out. Canadian themed playing cards, notepad, and pencil, all purchased at the dollar store. A Vistaprint magnet that is cruise specific, and I was going to add some snack size Wunderbar, Coffee Crisp, and Mr Big. Great minds ;)

My husband suggest a bottle of water with a tag on it that said 'Canadian Snow'! :rotfl2:

Just sharing
here is a small envelope that can be used for a few treats.
