Hi there - I read all the posts for MNSSHP (there's A LOT of them...lol...) The veteran party goers seem to encourage others to NOT GO on Oct 31 because of high attendance/sold out night. We are really looking forward to this night on the 31 - my Dad is coming to see my DD4 and DS 10mo at the MNSSHP - first time he'll be celebrating a holiday with us . Does anyone have some positive feedback about attending on Halloween? We're looking for some encouragement and trying to stay excited instead of worried  Thanks!

We went Halloween night last year. Our first time. We've done MVMCP twice too.

Anyway, it was crowded to me for a person who goes to WDW off season BUT we knew this going in.

We decided we wanted to be at MK on Halloween for our kids. What else were we going to do on vacation at WDW? Seemed logical. Our DD's were very excited at this idea!

We focused on the Trick or Treating and the parade and photo and fireworks and did a couple of rides too (Haunted Mansion and Goofy's Rollercoaster). Some rides did have long lines when we checked at around 9:00p in Fantasyland. We had already been to MK about 3 or 4 times so this was really just for the Halloween stuff.

We were first in line for the photo right at 7:00p right outside of Liberty Tree Tavern where we ate.

No wait for Haunted Mansion at 7:10p

The lines for trick or treating looked long but went VERY fast. So no worries there.

The fireworks and parade were amazing. Don't miss the headless horseman! We waited for the second parade and got there about 1/2 to 45 minutes early and it was already crowded. At the MVMCP's I've been to the second parade wasn't this crowded but it was manageable anyway. We got a spot which is all that matters.

After the 2nd parade it really died down...everyone was leaving!

All in all we had a great time and are going Halloween night again next year!

Enjoy!

We went in 2001 on Halloween night and it was GREAT!!!!

If was very crowded - but we rode everything we wanted to, did trick or treat, listened to the acts around the park, did the family picture, saw the Headless Horseman and just had an all out GREAT time.

If we could we would go at this time again but now we have to deal with 8th grade (not so easy to get away for 10 days).

Remember you can all dress up for the party. We made this night a surprise for DS - we went to AK early in the day came back to the camper in the late afternoon, after resting I pulled out 3 orange shirts and sticky backed black felt - we each made our own jack-o-lantern shirt - we were the same but different.

Hope you have a good time at the party - just relax, and have fun. You are on VACATION in the happiest place on Earth.
