Some Days of Our Lives questions

I started watching Days again about two months ago. But I have a few questions on what I missed.

1.) How did everyone get off the island?
2.) How did Rex find out about Mimi's abortion and where did he go?
3.) What happened to Brady and Chloe?
4.) How did Mimi and Shawn end up together?
5.) Whats up with Marlena and the amnesia and who is her new husband?

I think that should catch me up enough.

I would look on the DOOL thread but that's way too many pages to sort through. lol

1. Bo,Billy,Peter,Brady ,John rescued everyone.
2. She told him, because he over heard Belle going off on Mimi that she had to tell rex about the abortion. He took off destination unknown.
3. They went on the world's longest honeymoon, neither of them resigned their contracts.
4. Mimi and Shawn ended up together because they were comforting one another about loosing Belle and Rex, became very close and conveintly fell in love!!
5. Marlana has amnesia because she had a miscarriage with Romans baby,(They were naughty when held captive by Tony in the castle) , in all reality Alex is actually the original Roman Brady! Hope I didn't confuse you!!

As an addition to #5. I'm so thankful that Marlena fell down the stairs, causing the miscarriage and subsequent amnesia. It takes so much less time to watch Days now because I can FF through all the scenes with Marlena et al. in them.

I thought the Marlena being pregnant with Roman's baby was the most absurd, unbelieveable thing the writers ever thought of. (Well, actually there are many unbelievable things over the years I'm sure, but this is my opinion!) I mean, how old is she, probably mid 50's at least? How many women any of us know in real life are that age and still having babies? Didn't the "change of life" happen to Marlena quite a few years before???

Just so unbelieveble and ridiculous!

Who is Alex? How did she meet him?

Alex was brought in by Lexie as a specialist in amnesia. After treating her for a while, he claimed he and Marlena were once married. Now we don't know if this is true or not, but nonetheless, Marlena believes him. So, she feels since she was married to him first, that she should be with him, since she cannot remember her life I should point out that he was hypnotising her while he was treating her, which probably explains why she wants to be with him. We do know that Alex hates Marlena and wants to make her suffer, for what we don't know.
