Hello and Happy New Year to all, just thought I would try to compile some of our (DW and I) dining/snacking/guzzling experiences from our recent trip to the world. We stayed at BWV, first time for us in that area,I only made PS for Fulton's,CG, and Teppanyaki. We were seated right away at all the PS and counter service was prompt and good. After checking in, went to the Big River Grill for lunch. DW had a Chardonnay and I ordered a Rocket Red and then another RR - not bad. DW had a salad and chicken quesadilla and I had cheese soup and smothered chicken. I don't know if this is the same cheese soup everyone on these boards raves about, I have never had it before, but thought it was good. No complaints here.
That evening at Fulton's we ordered a coupla Coronas and DW had the New England chowda and I the sesame crusted Ahi tuna - both were excellent. We then ordered the crab and lobster experience for two. Our server (Helen) suggested we get the king crab claws and twin lobsters instead. The price difference would be offset by the DVC discount. This sounded good to us, so we did. Great suggestion. The claws were the biggest we've ever seen, and we order this out frequently and also buy it to have at home. Besides being very large, they were cooked perfectly. We did not need to use nutcrackers once - everything came right out of the shell. The lobster also was outstanding. Served with lemon ,drawn butter and red potatoes, no room for dessert here. Coupla coffees and head back to the BWV.
DW found room for dessert. We headed to the Boardwalk Bakery to investigate. Took an eclair back to the room - it lasted for days it was so big.
So far so good, for the first day. Getting a little long here, will try to collect my thoughts and do another one later. More good eats to come!!
