I need some help prepping

1. I am thinking about taking our lunches for the kids and allowing them to buy snacks. I have budgeted the most expensive counter service meal at every park. For lunch and dinner combined I over budget

For 8 days and the parks I have planned it will be. $1450 for the 8 days we are at the park.
I will be staying off site so I can cook and prepare lunches. What did you take for lunch and what do you recvomend

2 easy question I have a double stroller onlykid that can fit is six. I could make him walk but don’t want to ruin trip by making him so tired. Should I use double stroller I got or rent a one seater.

I don't usually bring lunch into the parks, but I do rent a stroller every time. If I'm not rope dropping, then I found renting from the park to be easiest. But I rent from offsite whenever we want to rope drop. I think having a single stroller will be worth it.

We pack hummus, crackers, pouches - like applesauce, cheese sticks, pretzels, protein bars, trail mix. We try to bring heavier snacks. We always have breakfast items for the rooms - hardboiled eggs, oatmeal, cereal, bread w/ PB and jelly.
I'd say rent a one seater - a light one!

Lunches might consist of PB&J sandwiches (or pretty much anything you can think of that will keep ok for a few hours in a cooler/backpack), crackers, cookies, Pringles. I see a lot of pringles canisters in the parks throughout the day, not just at lunch time. Snack bars that can handle a bit of heat (think non-chocolate items :) ). I try to get snack bars that have a higher protein content. Our park-purchased snacks tend to get a little carb heavy. ::yes::
