My husband and I are bringing our friends to the world (first timers) in November. We are trying to figure out where to stay. We are 4 adults (mid-late 20's), who don't mind sharing a room. We will have to figure out a "private time" plan, but that's okay.

We are looking to stay within a budget, so most deluxe resorts are out of the picture. We are looking at Wilderness Lodge (less expensive than other deluxes), Caribbean Beach and Art of Animation (because of the two full bathrooms). Husband doesn't want to stay at Art of Animation until we have kids (he wants to eventually stay at all the resorts!), but I figured I would get some input.

What would be your thoughts on the best resort for four 20 something adults? We have stayed at CSR, POR, AKL, and hubby doesn't want to stay at POFQ. Opinions are very helpful for anyone who wishes to share theres. popcorn::

If all four of you stay in one room, you have to pay the extra adult fee times two for the extra two adults. I know for deluxe resorts that is $25 each, moderates is $15 and values $10. So add $50 a night to your WL rate if you stay there.

Have you thought about Bonnet Creek Resort (not a Disney resort, but directly adjacent to Disney property). You could get a one or two bedroom villa for not so much.

I would suggest the suites at All Star or renting DVC points. With renting DVC points you would loose the daily mousekeeping, but gain a lot of room.

If you rent DVC points, stay at Old Key West where you get 2 queen beds in a studio, a good rate, tiny almost kitchen with a relaxed, kicked back atmosphere. And 4 adults can stay, no extra charges!

if considering off property, there are a ton of places,, but staying on property and both couple want private time, i would say your best bet ( $$$ ) is go Value resort, get 2 rooms,, cheap and both have private area... When are you going? Disney has specials on rooms, dining,, maybe something to fit into your dates, if me and another couple, I would go Value,, want my own space, bathroom and sleeping, maybe you could get 2 rooms ( each room has a king bed ) and maybe a joining room, so u can open door and stilll chit chat to each other

2 Value rooms would be a good idea.

Our fav moderate is POR Riverside in the mansion section. If you can swing it, the Garden Wing in CR would be good. One of the largest room sizes on property, much cheaper then the tower rooms. It would be a little more then WL. But with 2 couples sharing, you'd appreciate the extra room. Requesting a ground floor patio room will give you more living space too. And you'd be on the monorail, and can walk to MK.

While I love POR, and WL, 2 of my favs, I wouldn't want to spend any length of time sharing with 4 adults in those rooms.

key West is another excellent idea. There is a DVC site that specializes in renting points, and is safe. Many have used him. http://www.dvcrequest.com/
I think it's very risky to rent points from a stranger, but I would use David.

If they have any discounts when you are going I would suggest the garden-wing at the Contemporary. The rooms are huge and so is the bathroom.
WL is beautiful at Xmas, if you are going later in Nov., but the rooms are not much larger than the moderates IMO. Kinda small with 4 adults.
CSR (see you have stayed there) has that nice sliding door for a little privacy.
The Swan/Dolphin is also a nice option. It has the larger rooms and the added convenience to Epcot/DHS. Also, they have ALOT better rates ALOT of the time.

On a tighter budget I would say CSR for 4 adults your age. You have the largest hot tub at WDW, night club, and spa/fitness center. If upping the budget I would have to say one of the Boardwalk resorts. Always right in the middle of the action there.

You may also want to consider Swan or Dolphin. I find that the entertainment there with the Boardwalk, ESPN, and walking/boat to DHS and Epcot great! Plus, it is a little less expensive than Deluxe and the rooms are a nice size.

Otherwise, I would agree with most- I would get a CSR or CBR room to share (we did it at POR with another couple and our two year old), or go with two separate rooms at a Value. POP is my personal favorite, as it is so fun there!

Hope this helps!
Lori

Stay at the CBR and when you want alone time send the other couple to get drinks at the main house. By time they walk there and get back, you should be finished with your business! That is how big it is.

If you decide to stay off-site of the WDW resort area and rent a car to access the parks, you will need to pay a daily parking fee when you enter. For cars, it's I believe its $14/day. To some people, this may be a little or a lot. By staying within the resort, you can utilize the WDW transportation system, and it usually takes you pretty close to the entry to the park. Non-resort guests are able to use the resort transporatation too though. :thumbsup2

But if you plan to come back sometime in the next 365 days, you can purchase an annual pass and get free parking with that.

Wilderness Lodge is a good choice if you need to get something less expensive CSR or POR would be my pick. The only trouble with CBR is they only have full sized beds

If you want "private time", either go with 2 rooms at the ASSports or ASMusic. If you want to all be in one room, go with a suite at ASMusic, and still have some privacy. These are value resort, more affordable than deluxe and will definitely give you some privacy.

iwe have over the years stayed at all deluxe then moderates then to values we have not nor ntend to camp. we for the money like POP it is a value and if they offering free dining we upgrade to the Magic Your Way so we have a counter and a Table service. Usualy is just three of us but if four adults do go we get two 'connecting" rooms and is still cheaper than a suite. Like with you guys you have to pay the $20 for two extra adults in the room and if you got two rooms in a value would each have a bathroom and privacy but the door is in between to visit when you want to. In the deluxe we liked POLY and the moderates we liked POR and POP is our pick of all the values...there are times when nop free dining and can take the 15% discount if offered per room. to us is best deal to do the free dining but each has own opinion on that..

TBH, I would go for two 'value' rooms, it would be more relaxed for everyone and there wouldn't be much difference either way than 4 adults in a mod.

As much as I love CBR (and I really do) I would NOT recommend it for 4 adults sharing one room- they only have 2 double beds. One of the other mods that has queen beds would be much easier.

If budget is a main concern, that would probably be your least expensive solution. I think one of the suites at ASMu would be a bit better. 2 adjoining rooms at any of the values would give you the most privacy. No matter how friendly you are, a week sharing one hotel room could cause friction.

Keep your eyes peeled over the next few months for discounts that you may be able to apply to your reservation. That may allow you to upgrade at a later date.

Swan and Dolphin is a great idea. The Swan has two queens, and the price is as good or better than a mod lots of times.

WL or rent DVC points.

I also think two value rooms at POP would be much better than sharing a room (it's going to be an extra $50 per night for the extra two adults in the one room anyway, that's half the price of the value!)

CBR without kids that will enjoy the awesome pool is totally NOT worth it. We love the POR mods but CBR is just well....not worth the money IMO.
