Solo's... do you feel safe?

I have been solo once to WDW (staying offs-te) and only felt unsafe on the offsite hotel's parking lot when going to my room at night

All the times I went as a solo to DL I never felt unsafe, walking around DTD at 1 am and then going to my off-site hotel!!

No place is ever 100% safe, but I don't think Disney is a place where too much crime happens.

Now, at Hollywood, there I was scared... especially after our waiter at the restaurant saying there was a good chance that I would get killed on the street (I had asked him (kiddingly) what my chances were to get killed, he wasn't kidding when he answered me! )

I have never traveled alone, to WDW anyway.
But you are there to have fun. If you are worried about the walk, ask a cast member to accompany you. Take the bus back to the resort, go to the front counter and tell them you do not like to walk the dark paths alone. "can someone walk to my room with me?" You will probably not have to ask twice. It is similar to taking travelers checks instead of cash. Just some added comfort and you do not have to worry all day about a 5 minute walk that night. I am sure you will meet some nice cast members.

Thanks to all who responded! :grouphug:

I'm probably being just a bit paranoid, but I wanted to know how everyone else felt about solo safety. I'll probably go in early fall, when days are still long, so it won't be too dark when I get back to the room... probably! I have a hard time calling it a night at WDW! Too much to do and see!
Thanks for all of the tips!
