So I have a weekend to myself coming up in a couple weeks and I am currently the only person in my group/family that kept their AP during the closure.
So I did the thing and booked myself a solo trip, I’m at CBR in a pirate room (not overly thrilled with the pirate room, but it was the one with the AP discount) I only live about 90 min from the parks, I have a park reservation at HS on Saturday and AK on Sunday, my plan is to hop to Epcot after HS, and I was thinking of just taking my car to AK in the morning and go home from there on Sunday.
but I keep thinking I might want to resort hop, or do some pool time on Sunday, I don’t want to be rushed off in the morning, I want to explore the riviera resort close by, and maaaaaaybe I should just stay a second night. So I added the second night and now I’m second guessing that decision. Is it too much to spend for just a little extra time? Am I going to be over the solo thing by Sunday afternoon? I’ve never done more than a solo day trip before. I’m not used to being indecisive. Anyone have thoughts?

If it were me, I'd do the 2nd night. I just got back from a 6 night 5 day solo trip a week ago. At first I only had 5 nights booked but did have 5 day park hopper tickets and 5 park reservations made. I live in Georgia and my thinking was check out day if I didn't get RoTR on my previous HS day I'd try that day and if I didn't get it, just go into HS for a hour or two then go home. The more I thought about it, the more my little Disney brain told me that was just a waste of a ticket so I booked another night. My thinking was then I could just get up on departure day, take my time, eat breakfast and leave instead of feeling rushed. Worked out well for me because that extra day in the parks gave my mind permission to go back to my room and either go to the pool or just nap for a couple of hours and take it easy at night in whatever park I ended up in. My Disney mind is very different than my normal every day don't spend a lot of money buy everything on a discount and use it til it's dead mind.

You may realize after arriving that you love the freedom of a solo trip. I'd rather have the extra day and not want it, than want the extra day and not have it. :earsboy:

Two nights, but resort hopping may not necessarily be possible at this time. My solo trips are usually 3-4 days, but never less than two.

As a dedicated solo traveler I find one night frustrating no mater where I stay. That second night allows that one full day and makes me feel more relaxed.

Imagine if you're at AK and don't want the drive home. You have the option of just taking your time at AK or hopping back to Epcot for a meal. If at the end of Sunday you want to head home you can do it. I understand that feeling that you've "lost" a nights stay, but (for me) the freedom is worth it.

I say do two nights.

Thanks for input! I needed to hear it from more than just me, I think I will keep the second night, my solo trip is about a little me time, might as well not cut it short.
