Solo Visit to Typhoon Lagoon

I'm a 33 year old guy who will have some solo time at WDW in September. I have never been to Typhoon Lagoon and would like to try it. Problem is, I feel awkward about going to a water park alone. Has anyone else ever done a solo trip to a water park? Any uncomfortable moments?

I think this is a great idea. The water parks are more "individual" driven. When you go to ride a ride at DS/MK/EP/AK they ask you how many and you have to say one. At the water parks most of the rides only handle one. I don't think you will feel awkward. Plus, there is only so much room to sit on the beach. You will blend right in. Go and have fun!

From my experience at the water parks.. my group often split up anyway.. Personally, I'm a lazy river man.. always will be. So that was my thing..

My other friends wanted to try the wave pools and the slides.

Thinking back over it.. other than eating.. I can't see how me being there alone would have significantly changed my experience.. or that of my friends who both did different things..

This is helpful feedback---thanks to everyone who responded.

Regarding the raft rides that accommodate multiple people, is it possible to go solo on those?

I have been to TL on my own. (I will not give away my age, but legally I am an adult although many say I will never grow up)

I loved it and would do it again. Lazy river was a blast... so relaxing and you don't have to wait and look around where the rest of your party is floating...

Enjoy, and make pictures of TL to share with me as I love and miss the water park

Oh its good to see that the water parks are ok for solo vacationing. This summer i will be at Disney in September and have some nonpark-time to go to a waterpark or something. :goodvibes

I have also done TL solo and would never hesitate to go alone (I am also in my 30's). I would suggest that if you want a good seat next to the wave pool then you need to get there when it opens as those seats can be hard to find. I left a towel and a tshirt on my chair so that no one would take it and it stayed there all day as I came and went. I went on one of the raft rides but got lucky and rode it with someone else who happened to come along (I don't see anyone riding that ride alone). I had a wonderful time on the lazy river, sharks reef, various flume rides and wave pool. You'll have a great time and will want to return - don't forget that no one there knows you so act like a big kid.

Solution: take me with you!!! :lmao: Then you won't be solo!

I agree with the above posters and think either of the water parks are GREAT for solos. First of all, no one can tell that you are by yourself. Secondly, I have always gone with others and ended up alone anyway because our tastes differ.

My trips to Blizzard Beach are always high on the my "most favorite Disney experience" list.

Have fun and apply sunscreen frequently!!
