Solo trip?

The thing is I love Disney, I have loved Disney before I have DD and I will continue to love Disney when she is old and maybe not interested. I'm interested in the background stuff etc and would love to do a backstage tour which DD would be too young to do.

As long as I bring back something for her I don't think she would care, shes in bed at the moment cuddling a WDW broucher as thats where she wants to go next.

And the DLH was for 2 nights...RIP OFF.....:headache:

Ya i guess, i went b4 i had the girls and i said id only go back if i had kids. Im not a disney fan it all about my girls enjoyment.Only you know your dd and if you think she wouldnt mind then go for it. Id know my 2 would never forgive me:lmao: But you do need a break from your dd aswell and go off and do something you enjoy doing.:) aw bless her dd2 got one the other day in the travel agents aswell it "her magazine":lmao:

Oh yes! I'm up for the background tour :) Was the Kyriad incl tickets (as I mentioned on facebook I'll have a Dream AP anyway but that is a real good price for August!

Daiseyirl, once you've left the kids, once you'll be able to do it again :lmao:

It didn't include tickets but i'll prob get a AP....

Eurostar seats i found from Ashford were £113 from the 3rd-5th.

They are subject to change i think, I know Eurostar owe me a single ticket anyway.

I think a girlie child free trip would be a good laugh:)

don't feel bad, look at how many times you HAVE taken Kyra!

xx

I agree with Rach, you've taken Kyra so many times that you shouldn't feel guilty....as long as she doesn't know. You might remember I went with DH about 18 months ago without the kids though, and I missed them terribly so do be prepared for that. I think it was because it was DLRP where we had shared so many happy memories with them that made it worse.
And if you can go with Lisa and have company, even better!

Wooohooo my mum has agreed that she will take Kyra for a night or 2 and pay for half of my Eurostar ticket (within reason) as a Bday present in August. She just needs to figure out what days she isn't working and then i should be able to book.

Do expeida except payment straight away or can i pay a deposit and pay 8 weeks before departure?

Thats brilliant :goodvibes hope you really enjoy your break.

Im nearly sure you have to pay in full with them.

Yeah i just checked, dammit:rotfl2:

I think my trip will be a last minute trip as my mums shifts are likely to change, which makes it even more exciting.

I say go for it! A trip to DLRP with children is a totally different trip without. It will be a complete change for you. I would go there for my 40th this year without the kids if I could afford it. Everything you do is with Kyra in mind - anyone can see that she is the centre of your universe. There is nothing wrong with doing something for yourself once in a while.:goodvibes

Question is though - is Disneyland Paris ready for us though??:lmao:

Emma as long as we look like saddo's in Cafe Mickey without kids, then that is all I ask for ha ha ha!! I'm going to have to start to train my mind to think McDonalds is good for me....at least it's got WiFi so we can tell everyone that yet AGAIN we are eating another happy meal! Good news is though that we'll get a discount with A.P.s so we may just be able to eat :rotfl2:

If we can pull this off it'll be fun!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Are you going to get up on your chair and dance to Freedom? :rotfl: I may need a few stiff drinks before i shame myself that much.

I'm pretty sure we can find a cardboard box for less than a few euros a night :lmao:

I dont think it will be the same going without DD, you may think youll still enjoy it but youll be wishing she was there and she wont be happy you ve gone without her

My DD is perfectly fine me going DLP without her, as long as i bring her back a present she is happy. She is more excited about spending time with her Nanny.

I don't see what the big deal is going without DD, Disney isn't just for taking your children. Where are the rules that say you can't visit without your children? Last time I looked there wasn't one.

I think a trip without the kids would be heaven........just imagine getting up in the morning and just getting yourself ready......doing the rides that you wanted without hearing "How much longer will it be Mum"......eating in all the places that you choose ......carrying with you a small bag with just your things in ......only going to the toilets when you needed and time to just take the whole place in :cloud9:

Emma look at the ammount of times you have taken Kyra already with more trips planned for the future.....Go and have a great time I'm sure Kyra will enjoy her time with Nanny and look forward to getting her pressie on your return.

Myself and my DH go away for a few nights by ourselves every year unfortunately not to DLP though.......I am of the view that everyone needs a break from the kiddies and I couldn't think of a better place to have that break ;)

i hope ull be going to the nightclub lisa & emma!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :lmao:

i dont think ur doing anything wrong and ppl saying otherwise do not know u and kyra enuf to pass judgement! ;)

i must admit, i would come with you if i wasnt so far away!! i did consider it, but then thought bout the hassle to get down to u lol am i lazy?? lol

will def be a huge laugh for u both im sure,i know my boys wud be sad if i went without them, but bribery of a present when i got back wud work well, along with the adventure of stopping with nanny!!!! bribery is a mums best friend.... along with chocolate :rotfl:

Oh Nikki such a shame you can't join us :(

I'm really tempted to book us on a backstage tour as with Kyra I would never have the chance to do this tour again untill shes what 17 :rotfl2:

I agree with you Emma. I don't have any children and I've been to DLRP/WDW several times. If/when I do have children, I'm sure I'll enjoy taking them but it's also nice to have a bit of adult time every now and then. I say you should go for it! :)
