I have made a number of solo trips over the years and will be back early in November. I’m going through all my “haven’t done items” and trying to find a few stand out experiences. Anything you’ve done solo that was a fantastic experience for you? Looking for new ideas!

Unfortunately, anything I can think of has been temporarily (or permanently) discontinued, most likely due to Covid.

I went to Discovery Cove on my last trip. I thought as a solo I'd be there for 3-4 hours tops. I stayed until closing. I just spent the whole day in the lazy river or snorkeling in the reef with pauses in between for all the included food, snacks and drinks.

While I doubt it’s happening right now, I’ve always want to make s’mores one night at a resort or buy a pizza and watch the outdoor movies at a resort. I got an outdoor table at Nomads Lounge a couple of times on beautiful days and just enjoyed the moment, I also did that the Hangar Bar at DS one day. Because I had never ridden the boat between HS and EP I did that one day and learned that was boring for me! I’m always trying out new dining at resorts; bucket list right now is breakfast at the Four Seasons. I’ve purposefully watched CMs manage to get all the non party guests out of MK on a party night when I don’t have ticket, staying just far enough ahead of their sweep to not be their target of scrutiny; I know that sounds stupid but I find it humorous to watch the folks that are whining, trying to push the rules and it really is an art. I don’t know if they still do that. I also have had ice cream sundaes for breakfast. And I really liked the Behind the Seeds tour…..

Basically, I can always find something new to try!

I highly recommend the s'mores. We did that at Coronado on an all girls trip a few years ago - everyone had to bring one item in their suitcase (marshmallows, chocolate, graham crackers). Cast was fine with sharing roasting sticks with us and we didn't pay crazy for the supply bags. We made lots of friends that night because we had plenty to share. I'm off site this trip but I know I have new night shows to go see! I had an unintentional new experience with Frozen last trip - 2 margaritas and 1 troll drink before the first ride of the day makes Frozen even more fun!

I always try to do something new every trip, I've been going for nigh onto 38 years and there are still new to me things to do. Some you think might not be exciting but I enjoy them because they are new. One trip I rode the Liberty Bell, that was about 2 years ago, all those years of going and I had never ridden it. There are loads of rides I've still not done, most of the kids rides at MK, my son was never into them even when he was a kid.

I'm going solo in Dec., went with my son, his SO and their baby in Sept. so this is going to be my make up trip for things we didn't get a chance to do because of baby. I plan on riding the train in AK, I've yet to do that and I know it's a time sucker but I don't need to ride most of the rides. I will go to Nomad Lounge, cause I have to do that every time.

I'm staying at CSR so I plan on doing at least a half day of just resort stuff. I haven't seen the new tower so I'm sure I'm going to end up in the bar.

For me, the best experiences are those unplanned moments when I just stumble upon something.

I've enjoyed both a highly-scheduled solo trip with bunches of upgrades as well as a much more laid back one--for better or for worse, the latter's probably best to aim for this fall since a lot of things aren't back up and running. On the heavily scheduled trip I indulged in upgrades my friends and family would never have wanted to pay for, namely the Wild Africa Trek, which was fantastic. On the easier-going trip I just made a point to sleep in (a real WDW novelty) and to try as many new restaurants and lounges as possible. I absolutely adore Trader Sam's.

Next solo trip is in May and it's going to be another laid back one, but I do plan to book the "Celebration at the Top" fireworks party at the California Grill. I've done a few fireworks dessert parties in the last couple years and they've been nice, but I'm looking for something with a little more of an upscale feel.

Have taken numerous tours. All have been fantastic. Love spa time as I do not do this sort of thing at home. Facials and massages are great. I also get up early each morning and walk from an hour to two hours at different resorts. Great walking from GF to the transportation center through the Poly. Like to walk over to the Four Seasons too. With the new GF walkway to MK I am looking forward to walks from the transportation center to the CR. Just wondering if the bridge will be open early morning. (Will know soon.) I also like walking Hour Glass Lake at Pop and Art and from Hollywood to EPCOT. The walk from Riveria to Carribean Resort is also nice although not as much to look at. I like to do the WDW attractions traveling companions often wish to skip for rides. Love window shopping at DS too.I never lack for things to do. My next solo I need to spend some time at Wilderness Lodge and see the horses and do the segway tour. Due to Covid, I have no clue at this time what is open or not per tours.
