Okaaay; so without getting into a long story. I had originally booked to go away with my partner in June but we split up a few weeks ago and now I don't know what to do with the trip.

I had been looking forward to going to Orlando and Disney ever since I came back last September but I don't know if it is any fun on your own

Does anyone have any experience of a young guy (23) going to Disney solo? I am a pretty shy person so I'd probably find it hard to meet people while i'm there and I could see my self just keeping my self to my self.

I was thinking of maybe changing the trip from two weeks to maybe just 5 days too.

If anyone is thinking of going around this time too, and wouldn't mind a quiet British guy to possibly meet up, that would help make my decision whether to cancel the trip or brave it out on my own :)

Not a young guy, but I'm 22 and go to the parks by myself quite a bit (just got back from Epcot and stuffing my face at the Flower and Garden XD). It can definitely be a lot of fun 'cause you get to do whatever you want without needing anybody else's input. As a cm I'll be around in June and definitely up for having someone new to hit up the parks with on my days off if you want!

Been a Disney fan since I was 24, 27 now. I VERY outgoing so I'm the opposite. But you should still have a good time!! Just go and have fun! Single is a good time as well

it is ok to go by yourself and you can have fun too! Do not be afraid even if you are shy-there are always people to talk to. Other guests, CMS...It is ok to not talk to anyone if you are not in the mood... Having gone on a number of family trips-I usually break away at some point so no one has to know you are traveling solo unless you want to share the info. The issue most have is eating solo. If that is something that concerns you-try eating solo in your local favorite restaurant. If not-good for you, you are already ahead of the game. No one wanted to go to Brown Derby with me when we went for Star Wars Weekends 2 years ago, so I went on my own and had the best meal and the most entertaining server. I love my solo trips to Disney even more than the family/friends trips so I think everyone should try it at least once! Have a great vacation!

Teamtom and Unbrelievable when in June will you be there? I will be there May 30- June 6. My first solo trip... excited !!

All of it XD I'm a cm so I usually hit up the parks at least once a week on my days off.

A solo Disney trip is like breakup-sex to me...it's how I've dealt with the last three lol. Always a good time, never regret going. Hopefully you decide to still go!

I'll be there in June and love making new DIS friends :) when will you be down?

I'll be soloing June 6-8 in Orlando for a business trip. It will be my first time in Orlando and WDW. Any other solo'ers there during that time?
