Solo Trip-How Many Days

How Much Park Time is Needed in Mid-Sept to Not Feel Rushed

  • In mid-Sept, two and a half days will cover it.

  • Two and a half is really tight, go with three and a half is kind of tight, make it four and a half.

  • No, you'll still feel rushed, make it four and a half.

Arriving the Tuesday after Labor Day for a conference, planning a few extra days to enjoy the parks. Have been a few times before, but never solo. Don't need to see everything. Plan to spend most of my park time at the MK and Epcot, with a morning or evening at the Studios to mainly see TSMM. Want to resort hop on the monorails one afternoon and a shopping trip to DTD.

Question: How much time in the parks would be sufficient given it's a slow time of year. I've only been in June and July before.

Sorry, I see I screwed up my poll.

Option 1: 2.5 days
Option 2: 3.5
Option 3: 4.5

I need to learn to use a computer some day...

Based on your description, I voted 3.5 days, mostly because you said "not feel rushed", and also wanted to resort hop and shop at DTD. That's like 6 destinations of several hours each (adding in walk time, transportation times, lines in the parks, etc). So figuring roughly 1/2 day for each makes it 3 days already.

The last couple of trips I've done have been 4 full days and 2 half days. I still didn't see everything, but was able to go at my own pace and see almost everything I wanted to. I voted 4 1/2 days.

I voted for the first option - 2.5 days. I was just at Magic Kingdom yesterday and made it through the park in 2 hours. I didn't go for any of the attractions, but you can do a lot if you are solo in a short amount of time. I did all 7 theme parks in Orlando in 5 days!

Boy I must be slow... I went at the end of January/start of February with a friend and we spent quite a bit of time on our own. In 8 days I still didn't have enough time!!! On my dream vacation in 2012 I'm planning 12 days. Backstage tours, people watching, long long enjoyable meals and plenty of rest time.

Im going on an adult only trip and we're doing 11 days I like doing everything including water parks, boardwalk , dtd and all 4 parks... id say 4.5 sounds pretty good.

I went solo for 4 1/2 days. I still felt rushed.

I am hoping to do solo for 5 1/2 days on my next trip. I think that will give me plenty of time for most of the basic stuff I want to do.

Go for the longest amount of time possible. One of the great things about going solo is having time to relax and chill as well as having busy active times
