Ok so may well be going to WDW by myself in October and was wondering what you would want to do if by yourself?

So far have thought I would do some tours that I have wanted to do for quite a while such as Keys to the Kingdom, Behind the Seeds and maybe one in the Living Seas.

Also what would you do outside of WDW?

Claire ;)

I'd do lunch with an imagineer which i think they do (ordid) at DHS)

i'm also going to be on my own for a few days in June...

the behind the seeds is a short one, but very interesting...we did it about 4 years ago.

you might also consider some of the longer tours at epcot...

can't think of anything i'd be interested in doing outside of WDW...
oh - shopping....how could i forget that...
i'd head off to the malls....my kids have no patience for shopping....
so it would be fun to be able to spend more time and shop at a more liesurely pace...

Claire, I've got my first solo trip in May and can't wait :)

I'm doing a couple of tours, Mickeys Magical Milestones in the MK and Wild by Design in the AK, also as I'm there during the Flower Festival I'll be popping by some of the exhibits and listening to the lectures/demos.

I'm thinking of visiting Universal/IOA for the day if Harry Potter is up and running but I'll decide that nearer the time. Also planning on a spa treatment or 2 at the Mandara Spa.

Hello Clare :)

I had thought about a Spa treatment or two :teeth:

Plus as I will be there for the food and wine festival maybe a few of the shows will be a good idea :thumbsup2

How are you planning on travelling between WDW and USF?

Hope you have a wonderful time

Thanks Claire, I'll let you know how it all goes :)

I will probably go through Mears for a towncar for offsite transport - I just feel a little more comfortable using Mears, than a taxi. If not a towncar then one of their shuttles, I just don't fancy a taxi.

I usually have at least one solo day as my parents don't like WDW and prefer to go to outlet or golf. I actually quite enjoy it because I can go at my own pace. As I'm into photography I like to take my big camera and spend time taking nice pictures. Here are some other ideas:

- Last year at Hollywood Studios I did the animation academy and learnt to draw donald duck!

- I also went to Epcot for evening magic hour and went on test track loads of times with single rider.

- I had an obligatory photo with Mickey - the photopass people will take a photo on your camera if you ask them to!

- I changed my mind a lot! And it didn't matter because there was nobody else there :lmao:

- I rode the monorail round the resorts because if my parents had been there they wouldn't see the point!

- Cast members seem to be more friendly when you're on your own. I was having lunch and a manager came over to ask how my day was, which rides I'd enjoyed etc. It was fun talking him.

You didn't say where you're staying but I found being onsite a real bonus as I knew it was easy for me to get back if I wanted a break.
