I have alwys wanted to see certain resorts I haven't stayed at such as AKL and WL. Will I be allowed to park at these resorts for an hour or so to walk around, or must I have an ADR for lunch or dinner?

Thanks in advance.

Tell the security guard you are there to look around at the gift shop.

now if the resort is full - he won't let you in - then just go back to your room and make a reservation.....

but otherwise you should receive a pass for 2, 3, 4 or 6 hours to enjoy the resort.... they don't want you to visit the parks....

when we received the 6 hours pass I though great - MK here we come - but after we ate mother demanded to go back to the hotel....then she wanted to know why we didn't ride the monrail.....  :bitelip:

I used to do this all of the time, just tell the guard that you are there to visit the hotel. If you are going to visit the Poly, GF or CR during the busy holiday times then an a restaurant ADR would help you get entry.

If you are staying on-site or have park passes then you have access to Disney transportation. I have often gone to different resorts for meals, to get pressed pennies, or just to look around the resort using the Disney transportation (bus, boat, or monorail) from any park or from Downtown Disney to that resort.

They never mind guests stopping in for a look see but it's always a good idea to tell them you are there for lunch or dinner, but know a restaurant or two's name. Mornings or afternoons are easier since they won't think you are there just to view the fireworks. Getting there on a bus leaves no one to question you and you can always take the bus late at night to DTD to get back to your hotel if you are staying on property.

i love visiting resorts and my mom and i did alot of it in december to see the holiday decorations. disney transportation was easy and didn't cost much time. we just visited the ones close to the parks we were visiting that day. i am going on my first solo trip to POFQ but can't wait to visit WL. i have always wanted to stay there but no one in my family does. i thought it would be perfect for my first solo trip but just couldn't swing it financially so i plan to visit to check it out. i just love the gift shops at the different resorts.
