Solo October 15-19, 2011 - Anyone else going same time?

so far our only concrete meet and greet is the 17th... I am now getting a day earlier due to SWA's generosity... but will not be on WDW soil still till the 17th in the AM....

will be in Aquatica on the 13th if anybody is going I will be there around noonish :)

And what have we decided on JR night ??? 19th ?? 20th ???

Does that mean you may be around Epcot earlier on the 17th? There may be a plan to attack the F&W kiosks as an unruly mob during the day on the 17th

Such decsions to make..... My schedule is flexible enough to make additional meets. As for JR any and all nights sound like fun!

DFD: sending you positive vibes to survive your week...:goodvibes

runaway train??? :lmao: could be a fun ride....

Is anyone lucky enough to not be a part of this awful heatwave that has attacked the mid west through the northeast? Going from my car to the office and visa versa is dreadful...:crazy2: I was lazy and wore my glasses today... I got to my car and they fogged up... not a good way to drive...:rolleyes1

Anyway.... Happy Monday to Everyone! I am loving it that I am at 89 days!!!!:banana

Hello all,

I was hoping to join you for the trip, however, after crunching numbers with flights, accommodation and tickets it would cost me $2,614.80! Would love to come but just to $$$$$! I am going to keep an eye on prices, and if I can get the price down I may still join in - if that is fine with y'all?

I am going freaking nuts waiting for this trip to finally begin!!!

I had previously wait listed BCV but decided to cancel that and keep with the boardwalk after talking it over with my date. I am still undecided on which F&W events I may sign up for. Has anyone done the sweet Sundays thing? I have read a couple reviews but never ran into a price for the thing...

Yes, we don't have crazy hot/ humid weather, but we have the opposite.
The sun comes out about once every 3 days, and it hasn't been over the 60's
for more than 7 days since summer began. Kids want to go to the water park but it's been too cold.
We sent DD(13) to Eastern Washington (WSU) for summer camp which is normally in the 90's and she has had to wear a sweatshirt every day.

Can't wait of WDW Oct!
Maybe I will see the sun!

Yep, this heat/humidity is brutal ... looks like Sunday may be the best day to do yard work, and even then it may still be above 90F.

It looks like Disney has been releasing F&W special event info for booking on 8/16. There's postings of the Fest Guide on the F&W thread on the dining board. Although pricey, there's a few my parents and I are looking to book. I'm definately hitting the Sweet Sunday event on 10/16. Elizabeth Falkner is the guest chef ... she's been on Iron Chef, Top Chef, and Food Network Challenge a few times. She's also competing to be the next Iron Chef this season. I'm also going to book the the Italian Dessert and Wine pairing on 10/20.

Right now I'm thinking about doing the Itailian pizza and beer pairing on 10/18. I'm a big beer geek though, and I don't know if they'll really have anything beer-wise that I won't know already. My $50 may be better spent on grazing the kiosks.

Robert Irvine is having an event on 10/21. But at $150 a person I'm going to pass. I'm a picky eater ... I don't want to take a chance of Chef Irvine preparing some sort of dish I don't want to touch.

Sweet Sundays are $90 this year. I've never done one but talked with friends who have. I've heard it's worth it to experience at least once, especially if you're interested in seeing the guest chef and cooking. Afer that, they've said they'd only attend again based on who was performing the demostration. I'm planning on hitting the 10/16 event

we're also on the fence for that Pizza and Beer Paring... need to get more FYI's before signing up.. not a beer drinker but loves pizza ;)

speaking of beer!!!???!!! how was the BDay boy ???
But today is my Bday and I have a date with Adriane ( Wish me luck!

Thanks for the Bday wishes! It went great!

Tonight we are hanging out and doing a little more planning for this trip. She has no idea what she has gotten herself into! lol
