I will be going on my very first solo trip in 30 days!!! As part of the MYW package, I received 2 vouchers for free mini golf. Is it weird/awkward to go as a solo? Anyone care to share their experiences? TIA

Well I haven't done solo mini golf at Disney...but I did do it on a solo beach trip in December. And I thought it was fine and had a good time! I say give it a try since it's free! If you do feel awkward you can always just leave. :)

We get these in a package too but never really have time. There's so much more to do. We spent one afternoon just wandering around AKL. You may need to figure out how to get there from your resort. I went once in the 90's solo but won't do that again. Next couple of times I went with a buddy and there probably still are warrants out for us there. The wife keeps me in line now.

I don't think I'd do solo mini golf. Who am I supposed to play against? lol I kind of want to win; and if it's just me; I automatically win. No fun. We might be there at the same time based on your ticker. I'm there May 14-20. I'll play with you!

I'm in the exact same situation! Not sure if it would be any fun alone. I'm going May 9 - 16. The worst part is that you have to show up before 4pm which is hard to do when going to a park that day!

Ooh, thats a tough one. I encourage solo all around, but I have to admit that mini-golf is something I am not sure I would feel comfortable doing solo. Not that you shouldn't! Really, if you feel comfortable doing it, do it! What days will you be in Disney, I might join you for a game. I also have free tickets for mini-golf but wasn't going to use them solo and will be there at the beginning of May.

Yes, solo mini-golf is sort of weird and awkward, and I have done this there. I would to try to find other solo Dis'ers who can meet up for mini-golf. If you can't find anyone, I'd skip it this time and try again some other time when someone can meet up.

I've been thinking about it and I'm probably just going to skip the mini-golf. I mean, it's just a regular mini-golf course and I'm in frickin' Disney World! Mini-golf is a waste of precious time. I'd be better off going to Disney Quest twice with my two free vouchers for that. That's something you can't do anywhere else (AND there's no before 4pm restriction!).

I know you're right, but I'm not a DisneyQuest/video game type person. The only time I went there (w/kids of course), we tried the 3D type stuff. That's when we realized I can't do any kind of 3D stuff. I was sick & nauseous for hours afterwards. :( No 3D TV for me:)

So, if there are any DIS'ers during the week of 5/9 - 5/16, give a shout. Perhaps we can try to putt a few holes :)

Those are the same days I'm going, though I am questioning if I'm going to have the time/energy to do that after a day in the park on my feet. If I did do it it'd either be Sunday or Monday or Wednesday afternoon.
