Solo(-ish) in Orlando 12/13–12/16

Hello!

I'm going to be at WDW for a long weekend 12/13–16 to celebrate my mumble-mumble-th birthday!

I'm looking forward to waking up to some zebra-watching at the AKL, where I will be staying with a friend who is a cast member (who has worked very closely with Flynn Ryder and Tigger, among others, wink wink). Unfortunately, he is in the Christmas parade, etc., and will likely be unavailable during the days to play in the parks. Will anyone else be around?

Also, although I've done several DL/DCA vacations in the past few years, this will be my first time at WDW since the 80's (MGM Studios Theme Park, as it was called at the time, was still being built), so if anyone has any tips, I would appreciate them!

The best advice I can give you for DHS (Disney Hollywood Studios) is get to Toy Story Midway Mania early. Fastpasses for that attraction disappear very fast.

If I'm alone, I probably won't ride TSMM (more fun when you're in direct competition with friends). But, hey, if anyone out there wants to make a TSMM date with me, I'm down.

I'd love to have another WDW person to hang out with in the parks when I go by myself! I do agree with PP though and say get TSMM FP's early in the day. The same tip applies to Epcot and getting Soarin' and or TT FP's as they run out fairly quickly now.
