I can tell you from personal experience, that YES.. there are solo travelers from the UK!! So.. go for it.. Solo travel is lots of fun...

ME! I am going on my 1st solo trip in July, travelling alone from Scotland. Am I looking forward to it? Too right I am! I'll be there for 11 nights.

My reason for going solo was not exactly thorugh choice or desire. The truth is that I was supposed to be going with my parents and brother, staying in a gorgeous villa for 3 weeks - an annual event since 1991. However, life took a vile turn and my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in March - so of course the trip was cancelled this year.

So although this trip has not come about in a nice way initially, I plan on making the most of it. I have KTTK tour booked, as well as Cirque (3rd time, excellent show), Fantasmic Dinner package and lots of PS's (no character meals though). I am quite quiet and reserved but I do like doing my own thing and getting my own way!

The journey over doesn't bother me at all. I have booked to travel on the ME bus as well so no worries there.

so sorry to hear about your mum,but good for you for doing it alone.Think you have given me the courage to go for it in a few years time.I have booked to go next year with mum,but i am sure that the day will come when i feel like going it solo.
I imagine that when you are there you won't feel alone as people are so friendly.
Have a great time and let me know how you get on.

Hi,
I'm single and have gone with my son and daughter since '99. They are 18 and 12 respectively. We have a great time and they love it more than me....(might be telling a porkie there!) but I dread the day when neither want to come...........suppose I'll have to start serious dating before then..........

Hi all....

I will be making my First Solo Visit to WDW from the UK in July...

It was a spur of the moment thing as I had planned to spend my two weeks leave doing a Paragliding course on the South Downs...

The Reason for my change of plans is that I discovered I am Pregnant  with our First Child, so no dangerous sports for me in the near future..!!!

Unfortunatly, no one is available at short notice to come with me, so I intend to have a whale of a time, Doing my own thing!!

Does anyone Have any tips for a Firstimer, with child..???

Hope to hear from you all soon..
