If you are going to be dining solo, do you bring along a book or magazine? I want to do the GF afternoon tea but not with my 2yo. Actually I doubt my DH would go either. So either I go alone or bring my 4 yo DD with me.I'm not sure if she would be interested in sitting quietly. I could probably get my 8 yo son to come with me, if I promise him something Pokeomn from Japan! It's been 2 years since my last tea and I really don't want ot miss it this time. Should I bring a book or just peole watch? I've never dined out alone so don't know what to do!

When I eat out alone I usually either bring a book or my laptop so I have something to do.

I've been to the tea at the GF solo many times. It's such a relaxing place. I don't take a book or anything, I just look at the flowers outside, relax, and enjoy every second. It's MY time for me. ;)

Enjoy!

I have never done Tea solo, but will always bring a book or magazine when I expect that I will be eating alone. I can always close it, but it is there when needed. Depending on where, I will either read or people watch.

I'm with Cheshire Figment. I bring a book, or maybe a journal to write in, and read if I want to. I can always leave it in my bag.
