I had the opportunity to have a Disney day and took it. Unfortunately after I purchased my 1 day with park hopper I realized Saturday, January 5, 2019 may not have been the best day to visit. But since I hadn't been to WDW in 10 years I decided to make the best of it and from reading theses boards I came up with a loose plan. Here is a brief review of my day.

Animal Kingdom

I prebooked 2 fast passes, Kilimanjaro Safari and Dinosaur

Took Uber from my I-Drive timeshare to Animal Kingdom and got to the park at a little before 7:30 a.m. Purchased a magic band when I picked up my ticket. They were doing early magic hours so Flight of Passage was already a 225 minute wait so wasn't really trying to rope drop. My FP for the safari was for 8:05 and there was already a 45 min wait in the stand by line when I arrived. The safari was great, IMO, the lions were out and the cheetahs seemed to be tracking something on the other side of the fence. I really liked Dinosaur also. I checked the app and was able to get immediate access to Primeval Whirl. After that I got a FP for Everest. By 11 a.m. I had done all the rides that I got passes for so i headed over to Nomads Lounge, while I was waiting for them to open I scored a FP for FoP for 12:50 p.m. Unfortunately I didn't fit, but on the bright side they gave me 2 FPs that I could use for anything except Toy Storyland. I immediately went on Navi River Journey, I thought it was boring, but pretty. Left the park and took a bus to Hollywood Studios.

Hollywood Studios

Thanks to great timing I got on a bus that immediately pulled out, so i was inside HS by 2 p.m. and had managed to get a FP for Star Tour at 2:25. Star Tours made me extremely nauseous and I had to spend some time recovering from that, while waiting I hit the app and got a FP for Toy Story Mania. I used my last freebie FP on Tower of Terror and that was the longest line I had to stand in all day, it was my first time on all these rides (except for the safari) and I screamed the most on this one. TSM was super fun, but I think my score wasn't that great, like 94,000. Afterwards I sat down to try to get a Slinky Dog FP, but there were no more FPs for the day.

I was back at my timeshare by 6ish.

It was a long day, but enjoyable. I took my time and other than the initial passes just went with the flow. I had a fleece pull over that I used off and on throughout the day. I rode all of my must do's and literally only rode rides that I could get a Fast Pass for. AK seemed really crowded in the morning, probably because of extra magic hours, but it wasn't bad once the day got going. HS felt packed, there were people everywhere, and the lines for the restrooms were long.
