Has anyone else been solicited recently like the below email I got today. The person is not my guide. Just wondering.

Brian –

I hope this note finds you well …

I am contacting you with a slight change and an important update to your Disney Vacation Club membership …

At your earliest convenience, please contact me at the number shown below …

Until we talk …

Have a magical day!

We just got a call from DVC to introduce us to our new guide. Perhaps your e-mail is about something like that.

Only call the regular DVC number. I would not call if it was another number that was not publicized by Disney. It could be a scam to get personal information from you. If it is legit, then they can transfer you when you call the main number.

From the little bit you posted, that does not sound legitimate. DVC does very little by email that is specific to you. If you call the number out of curiosity, don't give them any info (but I'm sure you know that). I get a fair amount of snail mail contacts from my "guide" (not ever actually talked with), and they are all sales contacts.

I had a similiar message on my voice mail at work. I called back and the "change in my membership" was that I had a new guide.

What's the return email address? Our guide's email address ends in @disney.com and our DVC confirmations come from @travel.disney.com. If you don't have a legitimate email address as the origination, then I wouldn't call back.

EDIT: One more suffix to check for... our DVC promotional emails come from @DisneyVacationClub.com.
