I just went to the Disney reservations site to see what categories were left for the cruise we are going on and it doesn't even show my sail date of May 9, 2004. Does this mean the ship in completely full? WOW!!!

I am also on that cruise, If you put in 2 adults you should be able to see the data. From this board and verified with disney, once the capacity is booked for the kids club. They no longer book any children. Try to put in 2 adults instead. I also called disney and they have confirmed the cruise is booked to capacity!!!! WOW!!!!!

It May!! I tried it with one adult and got the same results you did. In April and May there are quite a few dates missing!

I am so surprised it is full. I expected early May to be a quiet time for Disney and the Disney cruise because almost all schools are still in class. I hope that Disney World isn't going to be too busy, the last time we went was in April of 2002 and it was really crowded. I was hoping for fewer people this time around. Well, we'll see and we'll have a great time no matter how crowded it is.

reses4 - I guess we just need to say the more the merrier. I hope you have a wonderful cruise and we have good weather and calm seas.

I also think its pretty kewl that its booked :) (why I have no idea as Im ONboard that week...)

I just wonder if my reputations got ahead of me as there are very few DISers on board that week :)

Ditto!!!! Va Girl

I went last year at the end of may on the 3 day and it was crowded yet fun.

Hey it wouldn't be Disney if it wasn't crowded...... We'll have a ball!!!!

We're on the same cruise :Pinkbounc Wow~Guess we will be bumping elbows eh?
I am so excited! I am already getting the suntan lotion and bug spray all together (stupid things like that!)

Ive been on the quest to find my fav sunscreen (It smells like oranges) since I had to get some on my DL 02 trip that cost a ton at the 7-11- I fell in love with the scent and Ive been trying to find it again! I found it! Castaway Cay here I come!

Okay in vvvvvv many days!

We went on the Wonder last year around Mother's Day. It was a sold out ship, but it really didn't feel that way.

The Disney parks were a WHOLE DIFFERENT scenario. I think every school group in a 100-mile radius was there on a school field trip. We had hoped the crowds would be down since school was still in session--we hadn't thought about the fieldtrip possibilities. It's one thing when there are lots of families in the parks. It is a whole different scene when there are lots and lots of (mostly) unchaperoned kids.

We sailed last May 17 on the Magic and it was also sold out....but DCL never really feels crowded, even when booked to capacity.

I'm really glad to hear that the ship doesn't feel that crowded even at full capacity.

On the other hand I'm not so happy to hear about all the school field trips this time of year. Does anyone know what day of the week it would be most common for this? We will be there for a week before the cruise and can avoid a specific day if we need to. We were planning on Epcot am and MK pm on Tuesday, AK on Wednesday and MK am/pm on Friday. I did alot of research about when the parks are the busiest and avoided those days but I guess a whole bunch of school field trips could really mess up that plan. Any ideas???

Emily - I'm glad you found your sunscreen. I know how the little things can make such a big difference. At least to me they do.

OJulie - I don't mind bumping elbows as long as I'm cruising. Bump away...just don't knock the drink out of my hand!!!:jester:

Her in NC schools get out mid May & return in mid August. Families are already on vacation by the end of May since it is their summer time.

Our Disney parks last year were MGM studios and Epcot. We thought the school groups might just be at Epcot, because it is more of a learning environment. Imagine our surprise when we ran into the same chaos the next day at MGM!

Now, ours may have been a unique experience, but it was definitely disappointing--especially after just getting off the Wonder! I hope you have a different experience. (We were there May 15-18 last year, I think. )

August 28th 7 day - kids sold out!!

My brother and his family wanted to book also. What's the best way to find out about cancellations??

Anyone here upgrading or changing reservation dates?!?!?!?

Right around the 60 day mark is when the bulk of the cancellations come. I would be checking daily (yes it's obsessive - but if you want to get a ressie) around the end of May and not stop checking until you get a room. I don't know if a TA will help you with the project or not, but it may be a good idea to check with one to see if they can waitlist you.
