That's the case for VGC, not VGF. For VGF, they removed it from the online add-on tool because they're adding another building so the resort will be going back into active sales instead of being "sold out," perhaps with a different price. I think some people have reported being able to still buy there by calling and talking to a guide.

Yes, I added on to my VGF after it was removed from the site. My guide told me a lot of people had been calling about it and for the most part they were able to find the points for people. I was on a waiting list for my last 2 add-ons, but neither time took very long.

And these are treated as full privilege direct-from-Disney points (like your originals), correct? No restrictions? Looking to add on to our VGF contract (maybe 60 points).

Correct. I can use these 50 points at any hotel including Rivera and all future hotels. I plan to add 50 at a time to reach the 150 I need for the blue card. I currently hold 175 resale at BRV.

You can still purchase the sold out resorts direct from Disney. They buy resale contracts and gain foreclosures and so constantly have some availabilty, you may have to go on a waiting list for some resorts depending on what they have for inventory, but all you have to do is ask.

I was told by DVC there is no waitlist for VGF, at least for a first time buyer.
