SOG Ticket question

We will be staying off site President's week. We will not be doing Disney this time around.

I have 2 questions:

In order to purchase non-Disney attrations at SOG, do we need to pay to get on Disney property, or pay to quickly park at SOG? Thanks. We usually stay on-site w/out a rental, so this is new to us.

Also, does anyone know if they sell the Standard access tickets to NASA? I noticed they sell the Maximum access, but we just want stadard.

Thanks.

You don't need to pay to get on to SOG. When you pull up to the Magic Kingdom toll-plaza just tell them you're going to Shades of Green. They will waive you by without asking you any further questions. When you get to SOG you will just need to tell the security guard that you're military and need tickets, but are not staying on property. They will let you go up to park in the visitors parking lot.

The tickets you need are listed here:

Thanks for your repsonse. I'm not sure the trip to SOG will be worth it for the NASA tickets, as they only sell the maximum access. It's actually cheaper to do the standard then the discounted maximum (we will never use all of the maximum pass). But, in case we change our minds about other tickets, I now know we can get to SOG w/out charge.

I was curious if your local MWR has the Disney tickets at the same price as the SOG. I was going to call mine today to see if there is a difference. I wouldn't think so since they are both MWR facilities.

We will be at the boardwalk and without a car. Would take time to commute over just to pick up tickets. :smokin:

MWR prices can be different, I checked. Depending on where you are the ITT price can be more or less than SOG - I've seen both. This time we are waiting to buy our tickets at SOG since they are less than we can get locally on base. Of course, I'm in Alaska where EVERYTHING is more expensive!
