SOG room requests

We have 3 rooms at SOG and my parents (who are also eligible) have 2 rooms reserved. We have a large family gathering going down this summer.
What is the best way to contact SOG with room requests - by email, fax, phone?? I don't necessarily want to request a specific location - just that all 5 of our rooms are at least reasonably near each other. I am sure it would be difficult to get us all right next door, but I'm hoping for somewhere close since it is such a large resort!

I would like a golf course view in the quietest part of the hotel....any suggestions? and when should I fax, or should I call?

We will be arriving on Wednesday night. I called last week to let them know we would be arriving late, and while I had the person on the phone, I asked her if I could request a top level floor with a golf course view, and she said sure. She marked it on my ressie right then. Now to see if I get it......

When I made my ressies about two months ago, I too asked for a top floor with a golf course view and the woman replied she can't guanrantee that request. She then replied "when we check in that's when we make our request". ????????

We plan to arrive WDW around 11:00 a.m., so hopefully, it's early enough to get our room.

We requested to have rooms with a pool view, but not pool access (that's extra!) when we made our reservations. We are reserving 3 rooms, one of which needs to be handicapped accessible, and we wanted them all near one another. The CM noted it in the reservation, and said that she couldn't guarantee it, but didn't see a problem. It really comes down to what's available when you're there at the checkin desk! If I were you, I'd call them and actually speak to someone.

I would fax my request to the front desk about 3 days prior to the arrival. Include the full name the resv is under, how many rooms you have and including the SSN of the member wouldn't be a bad idea either (or, if you have confirmation #s, that would be fine). Let them know what you'd like BUT keep in mind that NO request is guaranteed (all of the rooms are handicap accessible). The front desk (which assigns rooms, not reservations) does their best in trying to honor as many requests as possible.

The earlier you check in, the better chance you have of moving to another room if what you're given doesn't meet with what you want. All you have to do is ask what else is available. However, the room that may all ready be ready for you may now not be ready until later in the afternoon if you choose to take something else.

Would anyone happen to have that fax number handy, or is it just the one that is posted on their web site? Also - if I call to ask about requests, would I call the regular number that I call to get reservations?
