We have the 6 person family suite reserved...but I have no idea what the layout of this suite is like.

The website does show some photos, but it doesn't show what the bed setup is. Is there an actual bedroom off the living area with a door that closes? How many beds/what size?

We have our family of four, plus grandpa coming along (who snores, which is why i'm asking!!!) :rotfl:

Any information you have for me would be great.....thanks!!!

The six person suite has two rooms, a bedroom with king bed and a living room with, I think, two couches. There is two bathrooms and a kitchenette area with microwave, refrigerator and sink.

There is two eight person suites, but the nicest one is in the old building. It is HUGE with two queen size murphy beds that pull down, a couch and arm chairs, table for six, kitchenette, two bathrooms (one with a jacuzzi tub and bidet), a giant screen television in the living room, and a four poster king size bed with table and television in the bedroom, etc. There is even a pants pressor and a walk in closet. THis suite goes for 250 per night (no discounts due to rank) and is really nice.

Oh, the door definately closes form the living room to bedroom in the 6 person suite!

Thanks for the quick reply.

Our reservation says we have a 6 person suite, but we are also paying $250 a night (Major rank).

Do they have any suites where the bedroom has 2 queens or doubles instead of the king in the closed off bedroom?

The whole point is to put the kids to sleep in the bedroom so the adults can stay up later!

thanks!

The two suites I have been in only had a king bed in the bedroom. However, they might have also had a daybed in the six person suite, I will check with my husband when he wakes up:lmao:

In the larger suite (was 250 when we stayed last year, the six person suites were 225 but the prices may have gone up...the suites do not price out at ranks....only the regular rooms do) there is just a king bed in the bedroom, although there would be room for a rollaway, if needed.

We had the 8 person suite in the new building two years ago. I didn't like it because the bedroom with the king bed had very poor ventilation and no windows or sliders. In order to be comfortable in the bedroom we froze the people in the living room. The living room area had two queen size sleeper couches and a murphy's bed. The murphy's bed was comfortable, the couches were not. In the future I would try for two connecting rooms. More comfortable, cheaper, two fridges, and four queen beds!!!

Duh......why didn't connecting rooms ever occur to me before?

If you had connecting rooms, could you prop the door between them at night? I wouldn't be comfortable leaving my 5 and 7 year olds in a room alone while we slept next door.

How do you work this, parents? Sleep one parent, one kid per room?

I didn't have a suite when we stayed a few years back but here is a pic of our room

That's interesting, because the website says: "All rooms include refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and in-room safe. Due to fire codes, any additional cooking appliances (such as microwaves) are not allowed in guestrooms." Maybe that only applies to the smaller rooms?

This is an awesome opportunity for snoring Grandpa to spend quality time with the grandkids! And you and DH can have a few moments to remember what it was like to be childless!

Seriously, you can either sleep with your kids in your room (there's room for 5 in a std room) or let them stay with Grandpa - or better yet, alternate. Most kids are not bothered by the snoring (unlike us!)

Have a great time!

The suites have a kitchenette kind of area that has surface counters, sink, etc. coffee pot (I think all rooms have one of those).

In March we had connecting rooms with my parents. The doors didn't need to be propped open. They just stayed open where we wanted them to. HTH! The only problem with connecting rooms is that they can't guarantee you'll get them. My parents actually checked in the day after us and we ended up having to change rooms so that we could be connecting (the room next to ours WAS connecting, but they had put another family in there). We kind of made a "biggish" stink about needing adjoining rooms and they moved us.
