SOG - Do you get a Confirmation in the Mail?

My hubby & I stayed at the Contemporary - thru the SOG - last March & we received a reservation confirmation in the mail that looked just like others we received for ASMo, etc. I called & made a ressie for SOG for Dec 2004 almost a month ago & haven't received anything in the mail yet - does SOG send anything out? Should I call again & verify our ressie? We've never stayed at SOG -not sure what to expect - thanks!

Yes, Shades of Green send a confirmation. I'd call and ask and make sure it's all in order.

When you stay at the Contemporary through Shades of Green the confirmation comes from Disney but when you're booked at Shades of Green itself, the confirmation will come from Shades of Green and will be on it's own designed confirmation form. It seems to take longer but if you're uncomfortable about not hearing it wouldn't hurt to call (except for the long wait on hold).

I had to call and request a confirmation letter for our upcoming summer trip. I made the ressie in October and still had not recieved anything by December.
I called to make sure everything was okay, requested a confirmation and received it mid January.
Call and ask for one, it will put your mind at ease.

Thanks for the replies - I'll try calling tomorrow morning - I think I have a confirmation # at home from when I called - it definitely makes me feel better to have a piece of paper, too! Thanks again!

I made our reservations on January 8th and received the confirmation in the mail by January 20. We've never stayed at SoG and are so looking forward to our trip!

I'd give them a call also if you haven't recieved anything yet.

I'd wait a bit....

SoG runs a special 'plan' for the December holidays, and they probably don't have all of the details firmed up yet.

It seems to me that when we booked it a few years ago, we didn't get our confirmation until May or June.

But (on the other hand), if you just were to call and confirm that they have your reservation request- that would probably be reassuring to you.

If I already have rooms reserved for December and SoG has a special 'plan' for the holidays, do you think they would apply it to my reservation? And as this is our first time at SoG, what is the holiday special 'plan'??

If your planned reservation is for December 20 or so or after, you'll be notified of the 'plan'.

It's kind of like a package, with a meal/meals included (some, not all). Bellman (luggage assistance) service/tip is included- and the standard room rates are different.

If you'd like some more information, p.m. me with your e-mail address, and I'll give you a better idea.
