Haven't heard any feedback from the SOG folks that have been placed at the Cont. I liked the smallness of SOG and I'm wondering if some of you who have stayed at both can give some insight on how they compare to each other? I liked SOG since it was pretty small and compact. Being able to get from one part of the resort to another in a matter of minutes was great. But, I guess being able to walk to MK will be great too! How long does it take to walk to MK from Contemporary? Any thoughts you can provide on any of these points will be appreciated.

Thanks again,
Ty

ps how does the roomsize compare?

I will be there on May 5 and May 6. From what I understand the walk to MK is 7 to 10 minutes. Also even though the rooms are the largest WDW has to offer they are a little smaller than SoG - 436 sq. ft.compared to 465 sq. ft.. They don't have that little wall seperating the sitting area from the sleeping area. I will post a report on my return.

We just got back and stayed at the Contemporary for a total of seven nights. We are total Shades of Green fans and to be honest I was a little disappointed in the CR. The location is the one thing you can NOT beat. It is really centrally located. The shades of green reservations are all in the North Garden wing. The rooms there are okay, but some are in need of an overhall. For example, the window grates were rotted so they were hard to open, etc The rooms were really spacious though and housekeeping was good (although our rooms were not clean until 4 p.m. on two days which made taking a mid day nap difficult) The CR has a convention feel to it and is very "concrete" like. The shades was much softer and well maintained. Good things is you can put everything on your room card, packages can be delivered to your room. The bad things are the food costs more, etc. My kids LOVED the pool and slide and game room. We had a deluxe garden suite for three nights then two connecting rooms for four nights. I wll post more details soon!
