Does anybody know whether or not DCL will accept soft sided coolers upon check in? We've always carried our sodas, etc with us and it's HEAVEY! I would love to be able to check in cooler with the gaterade and few sodas in that for our upcoming 7 night cruise. Does anybody have any experience doing this?
Thanks.

I don't know if you want to check it in with luggage or not, but, we always bring a soft sided cooler to carry beer and cokes and just carry on board with us.....Andy

carry cases of water, beer, and pop onboard with them along with they're luggage?
I would think that would be too heavy to handle...
Or, are youns just talking about taking a few six packs of this and that with you?

A soft-sided cooler sounds like a good thing to take along this trip too! :)

I packed a soft sided cooler in my suitcase. I guess I could have loaded it up and carried it on but I wasn't sure either at the time.
So what I ended up doing was loading up a back pack with beer, wine etc... and bringing it on that way. This worked best for me since it freed up my hands to carry the luggage and other stuff. I fit quite a few beers in there too! More than I thought I would fit. Ahhhhhhh!!!!!

Two weeks ago we packed a suitcase with a 30 pack of beer and check that in and also had a rolling cooler filled with 12 packs of soda (no ice). We check both with no problem at all. There's no reason to carry it on yourself unless you have glass you want to protect.

They checked mine in for me and it was waiting in the room by the time I got there...as long as there is no ice in it they will take it.

We are planning on taking a soft sided cooler, but I was going to pack it in my suitcase. (and will still do that) My question you can actually check a cooler with sodas and water. Are there extra tags that we can get at the dock to put our room info. on??

good thought crazy momma....if we take a case of water that is shrink-wrapped and tagged, will the cruise line take it like its a piece of luggage....or like those pepsi cubes? Something that isn't going to fall apart or leak when you pick it up or move it...?

Thanks ~
