Soft reopening of POC before June 10th?

Does anyone have any insight whether they believe Pirates of the Carribean will have a soft opening before the rescheduled July 1st opening? Our family is going to the world June 1-10th, and we would love to ride our favorite ride!

I have been told (by someone who should know) chances are virtually nil that there will be any type of soft opening (in advance of the announced movie tie-in/opening) for the POC re-do, *especially* for the public & not even *any* for CMs.

They do not usually do soft openings for already existing rides. The purpose of a soft opening is to work out any kink that may exist before a new ride opens. With a regular rehab you are not changing the "ride system" so the need to tweak things doesn't really exist. Even though Pirates is changing some of the animatronics they are not making any major "ride system" changes so there is no scheduled soft opening for the attraction... As of now it is scheduled to open on July 1.

Well it doesn't sound like we're going to catch it this time. It looks like we'll have to do Haunted Mansion several more times this visit to compensate.

I was just there and they have the area boarded up save the side merchant area. I don't think it will open again until the debut of the movie. Sorry. ely
