Soft Openings?

i was just wondering what exactly a soft opening meant?...is it for the public or just certain people?...i heard that somethings were going 2 have soft openings while we are there...and i was just wondering if we were gonna be able to see them?? thanx

There are several types of soft opennings. Some private, some public. when there is a new ride/attraction, the first to receive soft opennings are the cast members, then there is a soft openning for AP holders and DVC members. After those groups get their well deserved special treatment, there are soft opennings for the public. What it means is that at any given time the attraction MAY open to the public and if it does, you are more than welcome to attend. However, you most likely will not know it's going on unless you are at the park when it happens. During MS, the CMs would put a sign out letting folks know that it is curently operating.

Thanks a lot!!! i heard that Cindarellabration has a soft opening on March 18th...im not sure but isn't that a fireworks show...therefore wouldn't it have to be a public showing??? thanks

Cinderellabration is a stage show on the Castle forecourt stage at MK.

Soft openings are "show in progress" openings. They'll perform for an audience (either invited or general) -- sometimes the whole show, sometimes certain scenes. They may stop-and-start; they may only do one show a day as opposed to a full schedule. It's a way for the directors and cast to see how the show does in front of an audience. And there's still time to make changes, additions or deletions before it opens "for real."
