Soarin looks amazing and I would love to ride it when I am there next week. I know Its not scheduled to open until May but I have seen on the board that it is currently open for AP holders or running as a "soft" opening. Of course I have no idea what that means. I am not an AP holder, is there any chance I can ride? :confused3

There is going to be cast previews and AP previews. If you are going on those days you would need to have an AP or Cast ID. The current soft openings are few and far between so you would have to be very lucky to get a ride.

We got to ride today about 1pm. The line is near the Imagination pavilion. A CM will take you through a back entrance. Good luck getting on! It was very cool:)

My DH and I got to ride Soarin' this past Friday on our whirlwind adventure through the parks. We walked over to the backstage entrance about 12:45 because the reports said that they had been opening about 1. We talked to another family from the DIS who hangs on the DVC boards. We kept prodding people who walked out from behind the scenes if there were any Soarin' people back there. We were able to confirm that yes, they were in uniform, but no guarantees if they would preview. About 1:15, two guys came out and set up the queue markers. We were first in line! :cool1: The CMs were funny because as they came out they said, "Look at all of these people who think they are going to get to ride today." They would only guarantee us a tour of the building, not a definite ride, but about 2:30, we headed into the Soarin' building. There were about 90 people who went back with us. The ride itself is absolutely awesome, a must-ride! Even my DH who was about to give up on waiting for it said that he was glad we stayed. Can't wait to plan my next trip to ride it again.

Yeah, like i had said on numerous other threads, if they do a sneek peak, it's most likely to between 1 and 7. Thus far, I beleive those are the only times they have had them.

We were there with you MadabouttheMouse!! Same time same ride....we were so excited!
We were up toward the front/middle of the ride next to a couple from England - had a great time talking to them!

I just walked in the door and had to write this - I was at Epcot this morning and rode Soarin at about 10:30 or 11am. Could not have timed it any better. We stood in line for about 5 min with barely anybody else. When they took us back, we didn't even have the full 90 people. The ride was spectacular. My DD (5) absolutely loved it. It was the highlight of the trip. Good luck getting a ride. :goodvibes

I will also add that included in this preview weekend (April 15-17) are DVC members.
