Sorry if this is info that's readily available elsewhere...has Disney given us a date for the projected opening of Nemo at Epcot? Is there usually a soft opening, or "dry run" prior to official opening? We are going Nov.4-7 and are hoping that we will get to sample the ride. TIA.

I received this email the other day

Friday, October 13 through
Sunday, October 15, 2006
9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Because you're a valued Passholder, you and up to three guests are invited to journey through Nemo's world on a pre-opening "glide" at The Seas with Nemo & Friends, the delightful new Epcot attraction inspired by DisneyPixar's "Finding Nemo."

Board a "clamobile" and follow Nemo, Dory and the gang through a new adventure with lots of fun and excitement that builds to a spectacular finale in a gigantic coral reef—where you'll see all of them as you've never imagined before!

Here are a few things to keep in mind:
For you to be admitted into the special preview, you'll need to present your valid Walt Disney World® Annual Pass and photo ID.
Park admission will be required for your guests.
For your guests to be admitted into the special preview, they'll need to be accompanied by you.

Check with a CM at EPCOT when you get to the park. A few years back, DH was able to ride M:S during it's soft opening period shortly before it officially opened and we are not AP or DVC members. The worst that they could say is no, but doesn't hurt to ask.

Good Luck, we'll be there Dec 1st-9th and I've heard the official opening is supposed to be the 10th, so hoping they'll have it open for rides while we're there :goodvibes .

The Cast Member preview is Oct 12, so I would guess that in early November there would be a really good chance for soft opening, even if it was not announced.

Woohoo, I was so sad at missing the previews by a week. I've got my fingers crossed for soft openings.

sounds cute, hope it's open to everyone when we visit in feb!!! :cool1:

Disney's website says that it is supposed to be open late October. I am there from the 15th-29th, and was upset about missing the passholder preview (I should be able to make it since it's open until 9pm), but now it will not be a problem. If they do a soft opening it should also be in sometime in October since it's supposed to open by the end of the month.

Does anyone know how crowded the lines are at passholder previews? I have never been to one. :cool1:

They can be empty to hours long, just depends. We did the CM and AP preview of EE. The first day it was a walk on for CM previews, the next day the lines ran upwards of 3 hours... same held true for the DVD/AP weekend.
