We are staying at Mariott Grande Vista next week with my in-laws. I just realized that DH and I "get" to sleep on the sofabed in the one-bedroom unit they've reserved.

Has anyone else slept on the sofabeds there, and if so, how are they? I sleep terribly at home, I am not looking forward to a week of sleeping on a sofabed! I wanna relax! We are definitely taking our featherbed with us. Do we need to throw the Aerobed in the car as an alternative?

Thanks ....

Getglowing: we've stayed at Grande Vista several times, and I've had occasion to lounge around on the sofabed with our DDs on a couple of mornings. They're not unreasonably uncomfortable as far as sofabeds go, but let's face it, they're still sofabeds. A squeaky collapsible metal bedframe and mattress thin enough to fold into a sofa seat are never going to be as comfortable as a real bed. If you have problems sleeping even at home, I hate to be the predictor of some tossing and turning, but . . . . hey, at least the living room TV will be right in front of you --- maybe there will be some good late movies on. :)

Hopefully you'll just be so overwhelmed by the beauty of the resort that the sofa bed won't seem so bad ;)
It really is such a nice place, I'm sure you will enjoy your stay there. Have a rasberry chocolate frozen mudslide at the Copa Loca pool bar for me!! :thumbsup2

I've never stayed there, but a sofa bed is a sofa bed. I would throw in the aerobed if you have the room. Have a great trip!

My 13yo son slept on it the whole 3 nights we were there, he said it wasn't GREAT but more comfortable than he thought it would be.

Thanks everyone! We definitely are going to take the featherbed with us. I'll make sure to post a report after the trip!
