I have a strange question. We stayed at OKW for two weeks in July. We loved the room, but it had the old sofa and it was a flat mattress. Unfortunately the kids didn't say anthing to us until I stripped it before we left and I said wow that mattress is flat--it was totally flat about an inch thick if that. Now, because I loved the room location I would like to request the same room for next year, but if the mattress is that flat could I ask housekeeping to trade it out? When I had a sofa that pulled out to a bed the mattress was removable--could I have called housekeeping and requested a replacement mattress? It is possibel that by next year they would have the updated sofas, but if by some chance it is stillthe worn out one I guess I'd just like to know I could call to have it replaced--if it is still there by next year I'd be surprised it held up and I guess it would be only a half inch thick:lmao:

Actually, that was a new sleeper sofa. The ones at OKW are like the ones at SSR. More of a platform bed with the memory foam mattress in three sections. My son liked the one at BCV (where the cushions stay attached and flip under the mattress) better than the one at OKW.

So, all of the new pull-outs at OKW have the removable cushions? That's good to know---my kids don't like sleeping together, and we were planning on bringing an airbed and a sleeping bag for one of the two. But, the cushions from the couch would substitute for the airbed in a pinch...

We stayed at AKV in April and had the ones with the three sections. The one at OKW in the room we had in the Turtle Pond area was the old fashioned kind with the center bar and removable one piece mattress like the ones you'd buy at home in the 90's. Maybe all the sofas at OKW are like this and I am mixed up after the one that was in the room at AKV?:confused3. I just must have it all mixed up--so do you think they would have brought me a non pancake mattress?

Brian, the cushions on the new type sleep sofa do not remove. They fold under in one piece and become part of the base, replacing the metal bar. It is hard to describe, but I don't want you to get there and not have cushions to make into a bed on the floor.

There are two newer type sleeper sofas. One, found at BCV and BWV, has the non-removable cushions. The other, found at SSR and OKW, has removable cushions. VWL still has the older style one (unless it has been replaced recently) and I'm not sure what kind they have at AKV.
