I have tried googling and searching here, but I don't think my searches are specific enough. I know the main bed is a queen size. But what size, exactly, are the sofa bed and pull-down beds? Would they each be standard twin size? Or shorter than a regular twin? Is one bigger than the other? I'm sure there must be adults who have used them so they can't be "kid" sized... but I wanted to check now so I know what to prepare my kids for. DD11 was 5'6" at her last check-up and undoubtedly will be taller by the time we cruise, and it'll be far easier for me to decree which bed she gets than deal with the arguments when we hit the sack our first night. (We're in trouble in a few years when her brother catches up and passes her!) Thx!

There are two bed sizes on DCL ships. Queen size for the main bed in the room, and twin size (regular twin size, not the twin XL) for the regular (pullman-style fold down) sofa bed, the bunk bed, and the murphy bed.

My then 5'8" sons both slept on the sofa bed with no problem.

I'm not sure of the size on the pull out sofa bed, but I think it's a double.

My teen-aged sons are both about 6 foot. One slept on the sofa bed, the other in the pull down above him. No problem. There is a 220 lb weight limit on the upper one, I remember.

My daughter 5'6 had issues sleeping on the top bunk. We have a murphy bed this time so I am hoping it is more comfortable for her.

Was it b/c her feet were hitting the rails? or something else?

Thanks to everyone else for chiming in! Neither kid is anywhere near 200lb yet. Purely concerned about the height/length issue. I'm not sure what we'll do in a few years when DS catches up (he's 7 and just about 5ft) but at least for now... his sister gets first dibs on the bed.

She only weighs 120 lbs, but has long arms and legs. It was just very cramped feeling for her. She was the one who used to fight too for who gets the top bunk the most if we had odd number of nights.

That would be my daughter, too! She has always claimed the top! Well, this will give her brother a chance to finally get it, anyway.
