Soda Stream

So you buy the co2 at BB&B? And they cost 10.00 using the coupon? how many bottles of seltzer does that make? I am seriously trying to calculate if it is worth it to me,on sale. We drink a LOT of seltzer....like 2 liters a day minimum

Yes to the BB&B part, you exchange your empty co2 canister for a full one . It's $15, but you can use the $5 off purchase BBB coupons.

We got ours a few weeks ago, the packaging said one CO2 canister fills the amount of 150, 12oz cans, so that's roughly 54 liters per co2 canister

Ok, it's official. The Country Time lemonade syrup sucks too. Guess the soda stream is going on Craigslist next week!

We have had our Soda Stream for a couple of years. I like the flavors that are available. I use the lemon/lime and ginger ale the most. We also like the Sparkling Naturals with real sugar.:thumbsup2

We use the Torani syrups. Vanilla, chocolate, raspberry, etc. No HFCS and some are available sugar free. Available online or in some stores. You can get little bottles in Target in the coffee aisle. We make up the soda water and leave that in the fridge. When we want a glass we just add the desired amount of syrup. Love it!

Juice works too. The soda stream syrups are gross IMO.

I dont drink soda but drink lots of flavored seltzer. The commercial never says it saves money just plastic bottles. Is it true that if I want to use it for seltzer and my dh Diet Coke we really wont save any money. Plus Ill have to make trips to BBB something I guess I dont want to do since dh does the foodshopping. Would I have to make lots of trips there?

I buy the soda stream concentrate at Meijer's (a midwestern grocery chain) and Walmart. I could get a discount at BBB, but it would cost me money to drive there. I just pick up what I need when I grocery shop -- and I don't have to buy the concentrate very often; it lasts me a long time.

I like the diet grapefruit, diet cranberry raspberry, and diet ginger ale. I used one of the sample sizes to make my dad some rootbeer when he visited one weekend and he loved it.

We bought one a few weeks ago and love all of the diet flavors, Some times I just add bubbles to the water and put in a drop or two of lemon or orange extract.

We use ours for seltzer only and don't really find it saves money. It definitely saves on plastic and lugging bottles from the store but making the trip to get the gas cartridge seems to be forgotten. Ours has been empty for months and we have been buying it at the store again!
